Nos.
Impossible. It's a 1.6l single cam motor..can expect much unless you do something serious like turbo.

What is with all these threads recently and people thinking they're going to get power out of an n/a SOHC? Ditch the motor or boost that thing to kingdom come.

cheapest way is a 50shot and prayers.......what i would do is to save up $500 buy eagle hbeam (or fj rods) and ycp vitara pistons, then your bottom end is no holding you back it would be your head (able to make 300hp no problem). I would also focus on longterm goals and not you saying "I wanna go fast!!"
Also research google/bing can be your best friend if you are new and are willing to take time to look up different setups and the power along with price each one makes.

Drive it off a cliff. Terminal velocity just kicked in yo.
Edit: I honestly have no idea regarding your platform, but I feel bad leaving this post as a dickish one-liner. So here you go...
I imagine a swap or turbo is the most cost effective way for you to get faster. Lot of folks do bolt-on mods, but unless your car is turbo from the factory, you don't typically see significant performance gains. Problem being, you spend all this money on the bolt-ons that it can wind up being as expensive as a turbo in the end... and for less performance gain.
I fell into that category (spending a shit ton on bolt-ons), and even though my car was factory turbo, most of those parts were wasted and sold for pennies on the dollar when i decided to get more serious (didn't work with my current setup). So just think about your long-term goals for the car, and make your decision based upon those, as opposed to a few extra HP in the short term.

ARP head studs, head gasket and 75 shot....
....or buy a new motor.

I had a tubo d16y8 and was extremely fun to drive and I still got 31 mpg driving it 700+ miles a week. Like stated before, don't waste your money on bolt ons because you will never be "fast" that way.

good bolt ons, cam, built head, and higher compression. Not going to make big numbers but will wake it up
