i have a guy wanting to trade his 02 gsxr 1000 for my 05 gsxr 600.

BUT!!!!!!! he says this: "its a 02 1000, has power commander3, full yoshi, just got 600 dollar plastics, needs tires, chain, windscreen, blinkers, headlight, and taillight, and needs a new battery the on i have it too big."

he says the bike runs great just mainly needs tires. my bike has absolutely zero probs what so ever.

Liter bikes are fun but going from a newer 600 to an older liter bike is a downgrade IMO. Keep yours and trade up to a newer 1000 if that's the size you want.

Any bike that was or is a street fighter is because it was beat to shit. Any bike that has had the fairings replaced, it was because it was wrecked. If he spent $600 on fairings, they were made in china, if they were made in china, theyre probably gonna warp and melt and probably fit like shit.

Honestly, if you are in it to ride out and forget about the world, and you want a bigger bike, get a cruiser. I traded my fun-to-ride stretched 600 to a 1600 Vulcan cruiser. I don't regret it. Eventually, i will get a Ducati 848 to add to my collection but I am perfectly content with a 1600cc V-twin.

I weigh around 150. With a good single exhaust, there won't be a difference in your average rider on a liter bike, but more horses and way more comfortable ride.

F4i is notorious for being reliable and durable against abuse. It's larger and heavier than newer 600s and is more balanced and road friendly vs being twitchy and light for racing purposes. F4i is a much more comfortable street ride than an RR regardless of which one is faster. I could throw an f4i off the top of my house, pick it back up and ride it. Do that with a GSXR. F4i is cheap and readily available. I can abuse my f4i endlessly with the comfort of knowing that it's arguably the most durable sportbike ever made, it has the size and balance of an older bike, but was one of the first bikes to have modern amenities like fuel injection.and fuck it, if it breaks ill buy another one. F4i is one of the easiest bikes to wheelie, which combined with the aformentioned reliability, makes it the most popular stunt bike.

Yeah, i dont like many of the new bikes. I walked around the cycle shop the other day and only saw 1-2 crotch rockets i thought looked good. The ninjas and gsxrs look retarded. I like the Hondas and some of the Yamahas.

I like the ones with tradition square headlights and not trying to look like a wasp or alien spacecraft. like so....

i guess you can say that if you want. I tend to believe that riding something that'll do 160 on a public road is performance enough. Forgive me if im not that observant as sometimes i view this forum inebriated, but i didnt notice the part where you mentioned you were a professional race rider and if you are.... why the hell are you riding a 2 wheeled school bus? You dont ride your bike because you care about performance. You ride that bike because it makes you feel like you have a bigger dick than the next guy. Most of the people i see riding around on those big ugly pieces of shit look like theyre about to fall off them when they take a turn. You ride one of the two token "look at me im a douchebag" bikes. Actually. the Kawi had the edge on performance in WERA racing in 2006, so it has the performance. Honestly though, any of the 600s of a year are pretty similar, and the rider is what makes the difference.

My zx14 does more than I can do on the street and there isnt anyone in this thread that can out perform its capabilities. He can run his dick sucker all he wants but he isnt good enough to push it to its limits.

Clearly you lack reading comprehension, what you just said is the argument we used against you..... You like your bike because it's so fast that " nobody in this thread can out perform it's capabilities" and none of us are good enough to "push it to it's limits", but then you degrade someone for selecting a slower bike based on it's appearance, even though the "slower" bikes are still faster than 90% of people can ride them?..... So the coolest thing about your zx14 is that you can parking lot race anyone? awesome!!!

I hope that you are referring to straightline speed only. On a road track, I would be extremely impressed if you could keep up with a modified 1-liter, especially one with upgraded suspension, such as mine. I'm not saying that it can't be done, as I have a friend who can muscle his Busa around RA faster than I can, but you would really have to be pushing it.

Now, on top end and pure straightline acceleration, I would have to agree that it is faster stock than a lot of normally modified 1-liters. It's wheelbase works for it in that instance, rather than against it, like on road course.

On the street, it's all about what you enjoy, as no sportbike can truely be ridden to its limits on the street without endangering people. I used to have a ZX-11, and on the interstate, it was much more comfortable than most of the modern sportbikes, I can only guess that the ZX14 takes it to another level with increased throttle smoothness and better suspension.

A friend of mine just got a FZ-1 in the red/white old school colors. The FZ-1 is an awesome, underrated streetbike. That was a great bike that you had there.

wow this thread just got hostile! but i dont believe im a nut swinger..whatever that means. and agreed with u david, the kawasaki is the best street bike in its 600 class. as ive read on many forums. ive always road kawis since i was little when i raced motorcross, then got an 06 zx6r and fell in love. but my gsxr lacks alot of things my zx6r didnt.
