View Full Version : KJ's S2k v.3 - photos by: Jon Davis
It was a random set of photos, me and jon ended up in KJ's neighborhood and we got some pics of his car after he got off work! If he will ever leave the car alone we can do a better set one day! lol

lol. still not cheap. $15k for the car, $3500 wheels, $2k hardtop, $800ish rear diffuser, $700 side diffusers, shit adds up

Not feeling the color on the car and knowing the quality of the paint job is sub-par kind of kills it for me.

He answered for me. And take a look at my car. This s2k cost a lot compared to what I drive.

...and he still has sub-20k in a modified car.
I guess expensive and cheap are just relative terms.

Maybe you're just jaded cause you see $90k cars everyday coming in for $50k worth of service. Lol

Point taken lol but S2k's are cheap these days, again cheap being a relative term....but I personally think 10-15k for a RWD two seater sports car is cheap.

Kjs car is nice. I did like it better black but I'm obviously biased since my last 4 cars are black.

thanks for posting this joseph! and I appreciate the kind words guys!!

the color is hard to capture, looks much different in person. and what makes you think the paint job is sub par?? the paint is duplicolor chromabase oem lotus krypton green, sprayed by my good friends dad who is a very experienced body guy (who has painted several popular, highly modified cars) and color/wet sanded and buffed. I've had all my cars painted several custom colors and while some have been better than others, this color was well done

I understand the car can be hard to capture in person. My comment regarding the paint job was referring to the over-spray on some of the black plast trim. IIRC, it was on the trim piece that wraps around the convertible top on the rear. Maybe you just had it sprayed and didn't get a chance to remove it or I can just be over anal (I know for a fact that I'm very anal when it comes to paint). I wasn't trying to negate the car and the amount of money/work you've put into it. :goodjob:

ah gotcha, you are right actually, you saw that before I had finished buffing it. good eye lol! and no worries, my car isn't for everyone. I was only wondering why you said that... I am very anal myself, and it's not 100% perfect but the paint job was well done, much better than some shops i've seen who will remain nameless.

Thank you for not getting up in arms about my comment. What color are you painting it next?
