It's been a long day. I just got back from being on set for an upcoming movie; The Devil's Knot, starring Reese Witherspoon, Colin Firth and Kevin Durand. I went down because they wanted my car in background shots. Several scenes actually had Reese in between the camera and my car. Looking forward to this.

Now my car will be on that site! Yeah. Later, QD.

I thought about submitting my car for that, but the notice thingy said they wanted 1980-1993 vehicles. The truck's a '79 and the Miata is a '94... So I didn't bother. :(


But that's awesome QD!!! I'll maybe see your car when that movie hits Redbox, because there is no way I'm paying movie theater prices for a Reese Witherspoon flick. lol

Thanks, everyone. Hopefully "my" parts aren't left on the cutting room floor. The parts my car was in should develop into good screen time for it as it was prominently in the background and side shots. It's not like it would be the 6th car up from the back in a mall scene, lolol.

When I sent the E-mail, I let them know that I understood they were looking for that range and that my car was a '79 and they told me to come on anyway. So there I went.

I forgot to mention that before shooting, I had my first paparazzi moment. I was waiting for the rest of the extras to show up and a lady pulls up and asks me if I was a part of the movie or in it. I told her that I wasn't, but that I was up there because my car was to be in it. She then asked if she could take pictures of my car. I told her sure she could and she did.

Now I have to watch TMZ to make sure I'm not on there!

Now it will be in two movies (I hope). Last wrapped up a week and a half of filming with the car. Lots of roll time for it! Both movies come out later this year.

didnt know that was your car in anchor man 2 Mike but i did notice it and told my wife, "i remember QD building a cvcc like that one.. wait till i tell her it was yours.. shes gonna freak like i know the guy who owns herbie or something lol
