I won't comment about him in the nfl until he is a starting player. or until he plays, i only think its fair.
is tebow better then sanchez?
good deal, comment away.... he's got a winning record as a starting QB and has already won a playoff game.

OKC . DUe for a hot shooting night, Miami is due a bad game.
By me predicting this, King James will probably win his crown though LOL
Miami has been due for a bad game. Officiating has canceled it out though. If the refs let them play, OKC wins tonight..... and the next game... and the next game.

It's hard to have a "bad game" when your opponent doesn't play any defense. OKC already had their shooting night when westbrook dropped 43. Miami is making them take tough well defended shots, they can't make them. Simple as that. Dwayne wade has yet to put his mark on this series too, so i could say the same. Wade is due for a big night as well.

No comments from me, seriously. I dont watch too much football anymore, and im SURE i wont watch the jets. Let me know how he does, i'll be looking for your thread(s).

If okc plays defense, they will win. regardless of how many three point shots they miss OR how many free throws they miss. if miami scores 100+ again, game over.

agreed 50%.
OKC shoots 35.8% from 3 point range, they are shooting 27% now. I agree a lot of that is due to Miami having the best perimeter defender in LBJ, but they have had open looks and they just havent hit. They start hitting 3-4 more 3s a game, Miami in trouble. Harden hasnt gone off yet. I think Durant has a BIG GAME tonight.
Itll be a good game regardless :)

I think the pressure got to them as well. Missed open jump shots from a professional basketball team usually doesn't mean you are just cold or having a bad shooting day. normally there is a REAL reason you are missing.(open shots)
i think the first to 100 points wins. if okc doesnt play great defense, i think its over.

I think Durant has a BIG GAME tonight.
I don't think it matters, he always has a good game. He doesnt take many shots. I think their role players have to play great tonight for them to win..... UNLESS westbrook turns into a real PG (dare i say like chris paul, lol) and gives durant open looks AND durant takes more shots then he ever has based on this new found PG......

Dear Lebron James,
Please take this championship as a reward for your drama reviving the NBA's ratings after the lockout. I wanted you on a big market team, but never in my wildest dreams would i have imagined you leaving cleveland would have worked out so well for us. People loving to hate you, had them all tuning in the watch the Heat lose..... and you would have done just that if i didnt step in vs the Celtics. I decided not to take any chances with the Thunder and besides, look at you getting to close it out in front of your home fans as an added bonus for this taking the attention away from me rigging the NBA draft lottery. Good thing they cant prove a thing!!! laughing all the way to the bank.
Sincerely, David Stern.
PS, you're gonna have to get the next one on your own.

Sinfix come on man, the last 3 games went down to the final minute to decide a winner this last game Miami rain down 3's. The fact that OKC double and triple team LBJ didnt not help them at all, his wide open team mates started hitting their shots and OKC decided they will live with that decision.

Yea okc got the majority of the calls, they made sure tonight that the ref's wouldnt be the problem. You are showing now that you let your pick for the game judge how you view the officials. But im sure we will hear nobody on espn or any network today even hint at the refs leaning towards miami....
a
the foul on wade on the lose ball when he was the first one to dive to the ball was ridiculous! The goaltending they called on wade when he CLEARLY block durants shot. Then the CLEAR foul the play after when sefalosha tried to steal the ball from lebron and ran right through him, almost pushing him behind half court.
But either way it goes, NO DEFENSE like i said. You are blaming the wrong people for the loss. They assumed they could double lebron and leave miami's three point shooters wide open. and they got burned, simple as that. im sure vteckidd wont come on here talking about the refs..... but i'll wait and see

they called the game REALLY tight last night, i was not upset with the refs last night. I do think the Derick Fisher flagrant was absoulutely retarded, but the game was over by then.
Miami just played better. When you hit 14 3 pointers, and MIKE MOTHERFUCKING CHILD MOLESTING MILLER goes 7/7, youre not winning. EVERY SHOT miami took was uncontested. And if it was contested, they made it anyway. OKC just couldnt hit any 3 pointers.
When they doubled, LBJ kicked it=3 pointer
If they played straight up, LBJ drove and scored a layup.
MIami was the better team last night. they were the better team by far.
LBJ deserves the ring and the MVP of the finals. Thats all you can really say. Itll be fun to see what happens next year , we may be witnessing the birth of an epic franchis battle OKC vs MIami.

Skip bayless tweeted last night how bad the Refs were, im watching first take now to see what he says. Youre right though there were bad calls BOTH WAYS last night for the first time IMO.

That Wade foul was retarded, no idea why that happened. The goaltending call was wrong as well, it looked in full motion to be a goaltend, replay it def was not. The Sefalosha foul was a good no call. Earlier Norris Cole did the same thing to RW and they didnt call it.

This is my closing argument on this and im done talking about the NBA till next season.
6 years after an NBA ref pleads guilty to receiving money to fix NBA games and claims to have been instructed by the NBA to influence higher rated teams to win in the playoffs, the NBA's most ratings driving team wins the NBA finals with a FT discrepancy in their favor in nearly every single playoff game, not just finals.... every single game. An NBA ref, under oath, admits to fixing games, putting people in foul trouble on purpose and not calling fouls on the team he was instructed to help win. 6 years after this happens....... 1 year after the NBA suffers some of it's worst ratings ever, the year of a lockout...... the team with the league's most popular player, highest ratings.... and their own section on ESPN's webpage...... wins the NBA Finals with a FT shooting discrepancy in every single game.
NBA refs served time in prison for fixing playoff games in 2006.............
I'm not claiming to have seen bigfoot here or that i fucked Giselle Bundchen....... this claim is more realistic than you would think.
The refs arent gonna run out on to the court and WWE style hit Kevin Durant with a chair to make the Heat win......but it's obvious they showed favoritism to the Heat and shifted the result of swing games.

They have no one who can guard LBJ. Hes too strong, and LBJ gets foul calls ( because hes so big people foul him).
Durant guarded him=got in foul trouble.
Thabo guarded him= got in foul trouble.
Harden guards him=gets in foul trouble or LBJ just shoots over the top of him
They dont have an answer for LBJ, and most people dont. their strategy was to double LBJ and have the role players (Who in all other series played like shit) beat them.....and the answer is when Battier and Mike Miller are shooting lights out from 3 point range, nothing you can do.
scott brooks is a major reason they lost that game..... oh yea and the old westbrook comes back right on time 4/20 from the floor! and he got all his foul calls, i dont wanna hear that bullshit.....

Disagree. They threw a ton of things at Miami and Miami had answers for it all. LEbron had 13 assists????!!!!!! you cant beat that. OKC main problem is their defense just looked 2 steps behind. Go watch the spurs games, and you see how fast their rotations were. Didnt see that against miami. Miami also shot lights out the last 3 games, OKC does not.
OKC is a jump shooting team, and when their shots fall, they are unbeatable. When they dont, they have no half court offense.

An asterisk as a notation in the sports world denotes a particular factor/technicality that comes with a milestone. Such as been proposed with Barry Bonds reaching the record home run total in baseball with the help of steroids or the New England Patriot's Super Bowl season when they were caught spying on the other team for play information.

How is that the same as a season shortened by 16 games? How could you ever compare that to a team using video to see what the opposing coach is calling and a player using drugs to enhance his playing ability??....
the level you guys go to disrespect lebron and the miami heat is ridiculous.... there is no * by san antonios championship. and there shouldnt be one here. i thought after miami beat the thunder down to the ground, they would get the respect they deserved. obviously not.
But instead i hear people crying about the refs, accusing them of cheating, and now an * next to their championship season. do you really think that if the nba had 16 more games in their season that miami wouldve been the team fatigued by the longer season? hell, we dont know what would've happened. but we know the end result of this season, no need to whine about it or discredit them.....
and when people start saying there is a player that is put on the 3rd team all nba team is better then the person on the 1st team all nba, its OBVIOUS what they have been watching! and what they have NOT been watching..... no need to break into your house to see that. i only pull the stats to show people who don't watch certain teams and players on a consistent basis what they are missing..... thats why i bring up stats. but its really not needed when you speak about a all nba 1st team player. there are only 5 of them in the nba..... no need to really explain more then that.

Are you not reading? I'll post again.....I never said anything about comparing anything. I never even alluded to that. An asterisk denotes a tainting of something. In this case a shortened season. I'm hoping that the second time around is the charm and you get it now.

Actually, in some books, there is a denotation of it.

Had i of been told Miami would shoot 30+ free throws a game, i would have picked miami in 4.
With equal officiating, the top 4 teams from the west would beat Miami in a 7 game series.
With a better defense, they would've had a chance. Leaving shooters wide open, ignore it if you want. It's the reason they lost homie. The missed call on lebron's foul on durant was the only call that had any effect on the outcome on any game. But they gave him a blocking foul on a CLEAR charge which would've gave him his 6th foul with 3 minutes left in the game. He was NOT supposed to even be in the game, they left his ass in the game. Even though his dumbass kept making stupid ass fouls, they let him stay in the game.
You gotta play defense to win a title. Okc knows that now. The reason they lost is because they didnt play great defense like they did against SA, AND they couldn't make their open shots. They didn't shoot as many fouls as miami because they are a jump shooting team, and rarely took it to the rim, as miami did the entire series.

In this case I agree with JDMcoupe. Miami did win because they are the better team. if they were even close in talent no way it would have gone 4-1 like it did. It would have gone to game 7. Getting eliminated in game 5 says ALOT about both teams.
and about Lebron... he has so many haters because he is doing something right, and there is noone that can stop him at the moment.
Just like Mayweather. People talk junk and always try to put him down... keep people's personal lives out of the sport. If we are talking about the sport only, Lebron and Mayweather are both the best in their sport yet both have the most haters lol.

You think because I'm the only one in the poll who picked miami in less then 7, somehow im on their balls?
Your pick in the poll had nothing to do with anything. It's the way you've been a sack jockey against everything anti-Miami. Every time someone says something negative about the Heat, you're instantly rising up to defend them by posting stats that you find to back up your defense. You pick and choose your stats to fit your rebuttal.
make excuses to why okc lost or say that their season was tainted.
So they played a full 82 game season?
Sad. Nothing to debate. We all read your "west in 6" comments, you brushed off miami like they were trash. And you have never been more wrong. How can I debate you after that prediction? Predicting that "whoever" won the west would automatically beat miami in 6.... Funny. Pops.
Are my posts that much intellectually superior to your reading comprehension "skills" that you are just pretending to understand it? That's how it seems when you try to respond to my posts with replies that don't even correspond to what I posted. I never "brushed off Miami like they were trash." And I have actually been more wrong. Several times, I'm sure.
And just to be fair with you, sir, I only posted the comment about the season being obscured by the strike for one reason. I was looking for one particular response and it didn't take long to arrive. Mike posted it when he said, "Now the "IT WAS A LOCKOUT SHORTENED SEASON IT DOESNT COUNT* arguments will start HAHA." I was only posting that to see what people would say, lolol.
I was just messing around, BUT, it is true that there will be an asterisk beside this one (sorry Mike, you don't call the shots on who gets asterisks, lolol). All it will do is denote the season being strike shortened.......just like there is an asterisk with the Spurs championship. Nothing more, nothing less.
And to be honest, all the interviews I've seen with Lebron seem to portray him to be a better person after last year. I'm starting to warm up to him a little.
He doesn't get paid to be a great person and make everyone happy.

Miami shot 136 free throws in 5 games, the NBA record for FTs attempted in the finals is 146 and was set in 1965.........................
Miami attempted less shots than any opponent OKC faced in the playoffs, they shot the same FG % as the other 3 teams that OKC dominated, as much as people want to credit the open 3pt shooting for Miami's win..... every team other than the Lakers hit more 3pts per game than Miami did vs OKC.
OKC had the most offensive possessions per game and took more shot attempts than any team Miami played in the playoffs, they shot the highest FG % of any team Miami played in the playoffs. They hit more 3pt shots than any team Miami played in the playoffs. They scored significantly more points than any other Miami opponent........
I have a hard time ignoring those statistical trends. Like i said........... refs did prison time for fixing NBA playoff games not that long ago................ this isnt an unfounded suspicion.

I'm actually very impressed with Lebron on and off the court through these finals. I do hate Miami as a team though, look up their flop highlights. Buncha fuckin queers. That is more normal in basketball these days though. But as I said I feel like Lebron grew up a lot through the playoffs, and you're out of your god damn mind if you think he isn't one of the best to play the game. Refs or no refs, he's unstoppable when he's on. His level of athleticism is seriously unreal. If Miami lost again this year, the hype would have been derailed and they probably would have traded one of the big three. Derrick Rose is injury prone, Melo's knicks suck, Durant plays for a small market team, Kobe is old........
Lebron is the biggest draw in the NBA and recently moved to a big market team. Him being successful is the best thing that could happen for NBA ratings and exposure.
With that said..... dont you find it somewhat odd that Miami shot nearly record breaking amounts of free throws in the finals?
seems funny that all the good fortune shined upon the absolute best team it could have happened to from the NBA's perspective.

No, I've NEVER seen a team attack the rim like the miami heat did in these finals. They played 100% to their strengths. They took them to the rim like no other team in NBA HISTORY, when OKC double teamed to stop the inside the paint scoring, they dished it out to WIDE open shooters who shoot 35%+ for their nba career's.
I'm sorry homie I saw a evenly ref'd series, OKC just settled for their jump shots, that they normally hit. They missed them and it took away the "explosive" offense everyone said they had. Like skip bayless says..... "you live by the jumper, you die by the jumper" .......
I know you know basketball, if you drive to the rim like lebron, wade, bosh can, you OBVIOUSLY are gonna get to the FT line WAYY more then okc who settles for running down the floor and whoever has the ball, they shoot it with no ball movement.
Mark cuban said it best...... They should've went into a zone like dallas did against miami in the previous finals. They GAVE miami everything they wanted.

Youre dead wrong, they just went through a 3 month lockout to make sure what Miami did CANT HAPPEN AGAIN. the best thing for the NBA was having Lebron (the rightful league MVP) vs Durant (the scoring champion). I hardly posted ANY stats about miami, i only posted stats about CP3. Because I know most people haven't seen him play because he has been on bad teams his entire career.
But when it comes to miami, its clear they earned their title, IMO. I dont think 16 more regular season games would've changed the outcome. They finally figured out that they needed to play to their strengths and quit giving opponents what they wanted. I still kinda think you brushed off the entire eastern conference like they had no worth opponents to beat okc or sa. whoever ended up coming out..... but thats neither here nor there....
And i'm sorry, im not sure how people say lebron is a bad guy. I don't see it. Look at how cocky and how much trash talking jordan did. I do think that Miami earned their title as well. They came out and played hard. Unlike last season, they played like they really wanted it. As far as 16 more games changing the outcome? No one knows. It may changed it entirely. Someone could have gotten hurt, someone could have fell into a huge slump; anything could have happened. You can't predict injuries. Yes I did brush off the Eastern Conference. I'll agree. But I did say that if anyone had a chance, it would be Miami. But I predicted the Western side and I still stick to it.

Well Lebron has pulled a couple of highlighted stunts that sets him in front of Jordan in the arrogance/cockiness "race." He seems to have toned it down a little bit, but Jordan never reached to the points that James did in cockiness. Of course, as everyone should know, Jordan could have the right to be cocky. He backed his up. And he is definitely one of the best to ever play. James is one of the best playing today, but right now, he is not the best to ever play. Later, QD.

Miami last year looked like a bunch of worthless pussies that had no heart and didnt deserve to be on the court.
This year they looked like a team that was ready to play and leave it all on the court. They "deserved" to win this year.
Still doesnt overshadow that the officiating was absolute garbage and there was unquestionably an advantage given to Miami. You may think Miami would have won regardless. You may think Miami was the better team.....
You may be right, but that doesnt change how bad the officiating was. I feel like people knew the officiating was helping Miami in games 2-3-4, then when Miami legitimately dominated in game 5 they said... "meh fuck it, they probably would have won anyways".

The officiating was bad, period. Not for one team or the other. They missed calls ALL season. What about the calls on ginobli in game 6 of the western conference finals. That cost them the chance to go back to SA tied 3-3. But like I said, i felt they missed calls for BOTH teams in the finals. Like I said before, i agree the foul on lebron at the end of game 2 in okc should've been called. But I also believe he charged on battier 3 minutes before that and it would've put his ass on the bench for the remainder of the game anyway. He got off a clean release, he shouldve made it, simple as that. His shooting motion wasn't stopped, he got his with the body, so what, man the fuck up. Lebron gets hit with the body every possession, its the fouls that stop his layup motion/dunk motion that put him on the line. Either way, they lost.

The problem is going to come down to the CBA. OKC doesnt have the cap space to sign both at their expected MAX SALARY. And you know that their CURRENT team wasnt good enough to win 2 games against miami so they are in a tough position.
Do you double down and keep everyone and the team exactly the same, or do you let Harden go/trade him for other pieces?
You cant teach height, so I think they keep Ibaka is their first priority. Harden will have to decide money wise what he wants to do and i think OKC doesnt want to lose him so they will get creative in salary.

I think if it comes down to choice you keep Ibaka and let harden go. But i think they will find a way to keep both
i agree, i also think that since Harden is already saying he will take less money to hold it together that he probably feels this is true too and that's why he's willing to be the one who compromises.
