I found a mint condition g35 with the color options that I wanted. It's a 2006 coupe 6mt black/black sport package fully loaded with navigation.

Man that thing is nice. The great thing about black is that when it's clean, it just looks VIP. Also, those wheels look real nice, even if they are stock. Make it your own!

I think the stock exhaust is amazing on these cars, personally. I am a bit on the conservative side in that regard.

That is clean! I know how it feels to find the G you want. It took me more than a year to find the color/options I wanted for mine. When I found it, I knew she was the one.

I envy you for those OEM Rays. I think I might pull the trigger on a set in the spring.

EDIT: were you just stopping to take a photo? Gas cap is on the passenger's side of the car... heh.

Thanks. Right now Im just going to get the car detailed, get a new shift knob(stock one is worn bad), And I'll prob get some wheels in a couple months! Coilovers and exhaust will come next year most likely.

Yeah the wheels are nice and light. The price of 19 inch tires however, sucks!!!

Yeah, a lot of things are expensive with those things

Well labor will be free since I DIY for most stuff. My maxima had the vq and it was a great engine so I expect this to last as well. I will say....it doesn't feel like it has 298 horses. It feels like 220 lol. My senta might be able to give this g a run for its money lmao. The power delivery of the G is much smoother however.

You have to take the weight and gearing into consideration, though. That car is probably FULLY loaded, meaning more weight. And being a 6 cylinder, I'm sure Nissan made the gears a bit longer.

It's all good, I didn't get it for speed, I got it because I wanted a nicer car. I just got spark plugs for it...they were 10 bucks each lolz. For my maxima it was like 3-4 each. Damn Infiniti. I hope my coil packs never go bad cuz that would burn a hole in my wallet.

I also ordered a new brushed silver titanium shift knob and a polished strut brace bar!

The modding has begun.

hell of a upgrade from a sentra.

All of my other cars I bought cash which is why they weren't that nice, this is the first car I've ever financed. I'm usually not one for any type of commitments....but the G was worth making an exception for, plus I plan to have it paid off within 1 year so it's not too bad.

uho

she's gorgeous, how much did you end up paying for it, if you don't mind me asking.

16,500 with 70k miles. I think it was a pretty decent deal.

KBB is about 18k with the options and condition so meh.

I would keep subtle mods on this one and keep the Sentra as your "build" car.

It makes sense, but I guess I never realized g35's were in the same class/price range as bmw 3-series. My mom just bought an 06 325i and it was 16,000. Very nice upgrade for you, ricky.

cars depreciate a lot in 5 years...40k cars come down to 20k!!! Or in this case, 16k lol. I have the window sticker that came with this car and base it was 33k and with all the options its 39k. Thats a whole lot of depreciation in 6 years, part of the reason why I would never buy a new car unless my salary looked like this: $200,000.00.

Depreciation is whatever. You'll almost never have equity in a car. If you know how to shop for a new car, you won't entirely lose your ass. I pulled my spec'd out 2012 civic off of the delivery truck for 4k under MSRP, so depreciation won't hurt too bad. New car buying isn't always the horrible venture everyone makes it out to be.

RL...
06-14-2012, 02:19 PM
You're one of the few ppl that drove a brand new car off the lot with positive equity in the car then. Doesn't happen for most people.

I sold my sentra and wheels and coilovers are ordered!

I've been thinking about selling my G. If you are interested in some parts, I'll let you know if I decide to part out.

so shift knob came in, stut bar came in, and I did the spark plugs....which were a bitch......and 2 of the 3 in bank 1 had oil on them so I guess Ill be changing the VC's soon.

that knob looks sweet but keep the leather one for winter, that crap gets super cold, it gets hot in the summer too but it's not too bad, and as soon as those coils come in slap them thangs on and start doing what you do best!!!!!! take pictures of it!!!! it's been a while since i seen some of your work, you used to do that maxima right, expecting better with this G

RL...
06-15-2012, 03:15 PM
The shift knob is titanium so it actually doesnt get hot like the SS or aluminum ones do. Yeah I sold my camera a while ago because I dont have time for it anymore. Hopefully my car will be lowered by next weekend, the wheels are arriving on thursday.

I had a grandfather retire from Chevrolet and another from Ford. Through some special old employee discount, I can get either at dealer cost. ...If only my grandfather was japanese...
