Want to try out Atlanta Motorsports Park? How about first checking out an "on track" SOLO?
This Saturday June 9th, the Atlanta Region SCCA will be hosting the first ever "CircuitCross" at Atlanta Motorsport Park's mini-course (the "West Short Course"). While SCCA Club Racing will be running a PDX / Club Trial / Driver school on the "East Short Course", the SOLO crew will be setting up cones to make an on-track SOLO event to test out some of the nicest asphalt you've ever seen and run a full-on autocross. The event is limited to 100 people (due to space constraint) and will be $65 for SCCA members ($80 for non-members). We'll be running morning and afternoon runs and taking the best run from each session to determine class winners. Additionally, classing will be slightly different where each driver can enter in one of the following classes: Stock, Street Touring, Street Prepared, Street Modified, Prepared, Modified and Road Tire (Road Tire means ANY class, not just stock). Your times will be compared to other cars in your class via the standard PAX numbers.
At the end of the day, once we get a winner for each class, we'll run a bracket style single elimination round as well to see who is our overall winner. That winner will receive free entry into the next CircuitCross the Atlanta Region SCCA holds. Look forward to seeing out out there this weekend!
