Pictures I took of cars in China, they have some weird stuff here

There's tons of Euro imports here in China, but believe it or not there are quite a few American cars here like Buick. The car that we have forgotten about, Buick Regal is so common here and somehow in demand. Apparently China is a big reason why GM is still around. Also, there are lots of Bimmers, Benzos and Audis everywhere. I still haven't found a racing scene down here, but I occaisionally see "tuned" cars. So far I've seen an evo 6, a lightly modded latest gen STI (exhaust/BOV), a heavily-modded evo 8 or 9 (had giant aftermarket cams and giant turbo from the sound of it, who knows what else). I see lots of "blitz" and "turboXS" stickers on random cars which aren't even boosted. Maybe government regulations, probably not money as I've seen a Bentley and Rolls Royce dealership only ~15mins from my hotel in Tianjin. Definitely not lack of technical know-how because there are TONS of ghetto solutions and ghetto rigged cars that shouldn't be running that are.

Also, I saw this car this past weekend in Beijing, it was definitely turbocharged, it whizzed by and I snapped some ninja shots. Anyone know what it is?

And best of all, this train goes ~200mph to get you where you need to go in under 30 mins, an otherwise 4-5hr drive.

Oh yeah, they're big on rebranding cars. Which is why you see tons of cars that look familiar, but you've never heard of. Kind of like Tommy Kaira does to skylines and RUF does to porsches, but they do it to random cars, so you'll see like a Mazda 3 with random body mods, grille mods, interior mods, into some sort of custom chinese car that is really common here. They are supposedly "souped up" for driving here. They do this to RANDOM cars here, pretty funny.

love it, it's nice too see in person how other people do it in other contries, when we drove through Mexico and Guatemala on our way to Honduras we saw a buch on chevys that we never seen here before, and there are a few nissans and isuzus in Honduras that they dont sell here, like the nissan patrol

From what I understand, China just recently started letting people modify their cars, so I'm sure alot of people do it just because it's new and they can.

I was there several years ago, and I don't believe I saw any modified cars. So they must have done it sometime after the Olympics were there. It is such a different culture over there it was hard to believe. Hope you're enjoying it!

looks like here in the UK ,we did a 20 miles trip the other day and we decided to pick a car to count to kill time and we counted 74 VW golfs on that 20 mile run.There are Euro cars everywhere here,i know its in Europe but they are in the masses tho.
