Wild biker caught going faster than a 737 takes off
Anthony Anderson apparently has a serious need for speed. So much so that when the reckless motorcyclist blazed by cops (http://www.ky3.com/news/ky3-motorcyclist-clocked-going-193-mph-on-new-york-highway-20120531,0,6521089.story) who clocked him at 193 miles per hour on the New York State Thruway (yes, that is 193 miles per hour — faster than a Boeing 737 takes off), the trooper had to deploy officers down the road before they could catch up with him in a different town and issue a ticket. Or rather 14 tickets, one of which was for speeding. Authorities said it was raining when the 28-year-old was clocked at a speed of nearly 200 mph, so we assume the others had to do with the myriad ways this situation involved reckless driving.

That ticket will be framed and hanging above the fireplace. I cant imagine 193mph, i've got 17X on a motorcycle and its absolutely terrifying and feels like the wind is going to pick you up and throw you. Maybe on a souped up busa or something that would accelerate super quick, but i cant imagine it at a normal rate of acceleration. Shame they didnt give the model of the bike in the article.

In my personal experiences, cops seem to weigh the potential life altering punishments vs the crime in cases of super speeding. I've been fortunate enough to get a "slap on the wrist" ticket in a circumstance that probably could have ruined my life if i received the actual legal punishment. If i caught someone doing 150+ on an empty stretch of highway, id give them a normal ticket and a "talking to". If i caught someone doing 150+ on a highly traveled road on a sunday evening after church let out, id hit them with the full extent of the law.

Most new bikes do over 100 in 1st gear. How easy it is to speed makes it almost irresistible

I live down here near Savannah. Last year a group of us got stop by Ga Troopers. The front bike was going 160+, I was right behind him. We stopped like regular(dumb, but smart) people would and took our chances. All they did was lecture us and told us to slow down. We were lucky.

193MPH? He should have told the cop "But I was in the left lane. That is the "go as fast as you want and do whatever the fuck you want" lane. " (lol)

He was more than likely wearing a biking suit, with a helmet and pads. To reduce drag, you however, were wearing shorts and a t-shirt and laceless shoes.

Ive been in several car accidents, but they are nothing compared to the one time I highsided off a suzuki sv650. Its completely different falling off a bike lol. I could never drive that recklessly but to each their own lol.

Article says:
What?! 193 in the rain? I have my doubts..This. I can believe he was going fast. Maybe 130 tops, but not close to 200 with a wet surface on a bike that has a grand total of two square inches of rubber contact and no downforce. At 200 on wet pavement, emergency lane changes and braking would be fatal. Must have just started raining when they got him to stop

People caught doing retarded things on bikes like that on the crowded streets, need to have their bikes impounded and crushed. That's fucking stupid and a danger to innocent people. They should do the same thing to idiots who street race in traffic.

And they should take away any 6000+ lb SUV from any soccer mom who is talking on the phone while driving also. Crush all of those as well.

there were videos on here of me a few years back doing over 200 on my 2008 hayabusa.
really not THAT crazy if its on a decent stretch, although cars in the distance come up pretty quick, and can change lanes since they dont think you are near.
and numerous 2007-8 gsxr 1000's i have topped out at 186 (still had governor)
It is AMAZING how fast new literbikes will get to those speeds, and be perfectly steady and humming along.
