cold ass fuck night. myself and accouple of friends met up at northlake today. every thing seemed dead, but at last possom goes and races and si on the hwy and ends up runing against diego aswell. when we return to the place i was told an wrx wanted to run me. he was part of wills crew. we jumped on the hwy and ended up runing 3 times. the first time the wrx pulled by a fender. i couldn't belive that. i wanted to kick my own ass, the secound time the wrx had a bad start so i took him by about 2 cars. the third time was the good run, we both took off correctly and i got the beter half of that one. i won by a fender close as hell race. nice to meet all of you and hope to see yall soon. but the person who supriced me the most was possom's gsr that shit moves for a stock car, i love my girl. just to let you know she's "kittyspeed" here don't talk to her or else , well i don't realy know what else, but fuck it

I guess you don't like the guy very much, cause I don't think you're posting everywhere else shit about people that street race. I don't know the last time you've been racing on the highway, if ever. you're not really endangering people's lives if they aren't around you. They always slow down to let everyone get far ahead, and then race. and slow down when they catch up with traffic. unless some car magically poofs in front of someone racing, everyone will be OK.

and another thing. the more you race the batter you get at it. that's why you always hear of 16 year olds going out if stock cars and going really fast and crashing. that's because they never do it. they're not used to the speed, handeling of that car at high speeds. so when something happens, they panic.

so if you actually want to help with something. buy some land, make a drag strip, charge $5 and have it open on thursday, friday, saturday, and sunday from 9:pm to 4:00am

or help with doing away with the rediculously slow speed limits and then averyone will be doing over 100mph

U the red srt driver? raced my buddy jason a few times in the red evo. I am the black guy with the fro thats always out(without my car lol).

ANyway, this guy is not some "kid". he knows his stuff and drives well. race in a secluded business park? i was there when he already did that. so why not try a higway roll when the highway is empty? no families are really out at 1 and 2am and the roads are pretty bare. on the 675 end of things there is nothing at those hours but Jake. on the 285 side there is maybe a couple cars at a time and drivers usually run from 40mph. Making a car already moving 65+mph that much farther ahead decreasing the risk of running into someone.all spectators are usually behind. racing on the street period has a risk involved.

just b/c your a good driver dont mean shiit, what if the other driver fucks up, what if sumtin with the car fucks up and puts you in danger.

I can agree with you on this completely. It doesn't matter how good you think you are. More often than not, the things that cause accidents happen so fast there is very very little time to react.

I've had more practice with car control than a majority of the people on the road (most people being normal not into their cars people), and it doesn't mean a thing. You could be the best driver in the world and still get in an accident just driving normally, let alone doing something dumb, because you are just one variable among thousands of others. The problem comes with those thousands of other "driving variables" come into play... like drunk drivers, road hazards, weather, blind corners, the police, animals, the enormous Semi-trucks that can't come to a stop 1/4 as fast as we can... The list is endless. It doesn't matter how well you can drive, because you're not the only person on the road and the road itself tends to be ever changing (especially the interstate).

he has no common sense. It takes either a complete moron or someone on some drugs to miss the very blunt, very common sense oriented comments QD usually makes. If you can't understand what he's saying I'd suggest you look it up, word for word in the dictionary.

I mean... actually it should be fucking obvious that racing on public roads should be one of those "common sense" things you just don't do. Fortunately for us gear heads and fellow car fanatics we can let that one slide a little, and sometimes get away with it. Common sense would tell you "don't race in front of a police station", for people who use cars purely for transportation purposes "don't race on public roads" is common sense. Us car nuts tend to forget that sometimes...

I don't drive my car very fast anymore, because common sense told me I'd probably get another ticket. I bought a car slower than my last one, because common sense told me that I'd keep myself going slower, and racing less that way.

Trying to tell QD he lacks "common sense" while defending street racing is just down right dumb. You can't defend street racing, because you don't own the roads your racing on. The government owns the roads, and they pay lots of money to police departments all over the country, to make sure the rules they put in place are enforced on their roads. If you had as much common sense as you claim to you would have known that.

Although again... truthfully, I don't see your place posting here. Are you really into cars? Do you street race often? ermm... well not really and probably not.
So why waste your breath?

Don't get me wrong... I love street racing and will probably always have something to do with it. I enjoy being in and around cars that are going fast, (or sideways ;-p) but trying to justify street racing is pointless. Just be as safe as you can about it, and hope the cops don't give you too hard of a time when they catch you.
