FYI: there are dozens of very capable cars/drivers on this site that can slap built vettes up and down the interstate. Most simply do not have the desire or time. So saying that "nobody can beat you" is a pretty bold statement. There are also some legitimate professional racecar drivers on this site. I'd put money on it that there are a few that could make a faster pass in your own car, than you can.

Out of curiousity, do you go on the Vette and Viper Forums and taunt? Because most of the Vette and Viper Guys I know are in the Big Boy HP range. They wont even screw around with anything import but EVO's and Supras.

I've already been through a NA-T Supra and a Supra TT with a 78 on it. I personally know very well what over 500 to the ground in a NA-T does, and what over 600 in a TT does. I also know that your Lexus wouldn't have a chance against my old foxbody, much less ZOSICK's current setup.
I'm not knocking your 2JZ - I like them as a powerplant, but unless you tub out your Lexus, you aren't going to get more traction than a Corvette. That may hurt your feelings, but it really shouldn't - both cars were built for different purposes.

If we want to talk turns, I'd run ZO on the Loop or 129, day or night, in my measly 6 banger or wifes stockish station wagon. C5 and C6 vettes are great on a road course, with a skilled driver (not drag racing skill). But, I have seen dozens of mid-pack Z06 guys get bitchraped on tracks by Miatas and E30's with less than 200HP and a good driver. I have turned faster lap times in ITS cars than Vipers. It takes an ungodly amont of spring, swaybar, and tire to keep anything over 300HP on the ground in turns. It takes an ungodly amount of Brakes to stop a 3500lb tank from 150, turn after turn, after turn.


Regardless, if a Vette is set up for 12 second blasts in a straight line, it will fail miserably on any kind of road course. I have run boosted C5's set up for road courses in cars with 30% or more less HP and raped them. They run out of brakes quickly and they spend more time trying to manage the power, then focusing on clean lines. It's hard to have a car that does both. It will shine at one, or the other. Sure plenty of fast cars handle good, but not road course good. Two different ball games.

I'm saying that you will not beat his Vette, even if you 800hp - unless you turn your car into a pure drag car. It's that simple. Yes, you could backhalf it, and put a serious drag suspension, but you would ruin the daily driveability of the car. No way that I would do that to a Lexus.

As for my foxbody, it has less power than most of the cars in this forum, but they do ok from a dig. There is a reason that when you go to a x275 race, almost every car in the class is a foxbody.

Let's look at that video... Sure, ZO caught the guy sleeping at the "tree". But even with that, he still beat an ALL-WHEEL DRIVE car (that was two-stepping) "that couldn't have had more then 400-500" from a dig, in the 1/8 mile. Go to the track to race the bikes. That way you don't have to worry about possible legal issues.
I can tell you though that it will be the rider that wins, not the bike. Both of your bikes are solid performers from the factory.
I've taken one of my old bikes to the drag strip a few times. It's ok, but not nearly as fun as track days at road courses.

LOL i got my rx7 wanting to keep the 13b But i rebuilt it and 2days l got in boost like a dumbass and blew the engine...I know everyone talk about the fc engine being better and lasting longer then the fd engine...The only reason i was going to swap for a 2jz is because i have a spare engine to put in it....Im really still on the fence about what im going to do...In the end,keeping the 13b will be cheaper and i wont have to hack the car up....BUT doing the swap the right way i will be able to get more power and will last longer without having to rebuild....The 20b is nice but just the engine is 4500-6500 and one more rotor to rebuild
