Just finished watching full season of Spartacus

I'm a little late to the party as this was last years season, but i just finished watching the full season 1 of spartacus. Pretty mother freaking awesome. I was looking forward to catching up on season 2 until i saw the lead character had been replaced. Andy Whitfield, the guy who played Spartacus died shortly after the 1st season at the age of 40. Really sucks because the guy was awesome in this series.

If you like Gladiator stuff, you'll love this show. Catch it on demand or get the box set, well worth it.

i dont know if i can get into it with a new main character, i was extremely bummed out when i learned of the change.

gonna give it a chance, but the character change for Spartacus took a lot away from the show. The supporting actors are all great still.... but big loss in the main character.

It is a big loss, the previous actor did an amazing, and much better job. His acting was so damn convincing...like it wasn't acting at all. While the new guy isn't as good, the story/action is what makes this show badass and that is still the same.

Don't worry, I felt the same way. Give it a few episodes and if you're like me you'll be just as hooked.
Also, like others have said, don't forget Gods of the Arena. I think you should actually watch that before Season 2 so the story makes more sense.

im on ep3 season 2, where Crix just got recaptured and Spartacus reunited with his crew after that fight in the woods. So far im not feeling it.

Cant believe they let Crix get captured in that manner...... also, how did Doctore struggle so much in the pit?... on s1 he was like super badass fighting Crix and Spartacus at the same time..... now he's struggling with bums??? Ashur needed to die at the end of s1 too, they give that guy way too much screen time.

Great show! I've seen season 1 and 2. Have yet to see the new season.
