:crazy: True, but he may be looking for something a little less extreme.

The basics for the 1.8T are as follows:

Chip (most important, go with GIAC or APR...Paul will chime in soon about EPG, they are the GIAC dealer in GA): Chips are good for ~50hp for $500ish...it is without a doubt the BEST hp/$ ratio you will find.

After the chip everything else seems less attractive since they have higher prices and less gains however look into the following:

Exhaust: high flow cat, downpipe, and back, REPLACE EVERYTHING.
FMIC: Especially in ATL your stock SMIC will get heat soaked REAL quick.
Intake: Frees up some ponies

Thoose are the basics i would say, im sure there are some im missing, but thoose are the biggest HP adders on the stock turbo as far as i know. Im sure others will chime in.

GIAC = 500
FMIC = 700
DV = 100
exhaust = 200
tt dp w/ hiflo cat = 350
inlet pipe = 200
intake = 150
n75 = 100
-----------------------------
2500$ will cover all of that and you'll be making 200-225whp / 250-275lbs ; 13sec car :goodjob:

call brian at EPG see what they can do for you. :D

yup, thats a good list for starters.try looking also in a limited slip diff and clutch package. be cautious when buying these mods because it will save you a lot of money if you decide to go with a larger turbo in the future.:goodjob:

Chip , DP, and a DV. Exhaust didnt do much for mine...the DP and chip def did! If I had ran slicks w/ chip only I'd hit 13s...almost did w/o. Do APR or GIAC whichever is cheaper.
I have a shaved (notchless) hood for a jetta 4, Plat gray ..$150 ...And some very clean 03 jetta OEM tail lights for $40

chip and exhaust of course but def get a turbo inlet hose
and until u get a FMIC, def get the lower intercooler pipe( ABD ) that replaces the pancake pipe.

oh greg, im interested in your hood..im want to get a custom boser made while my car is getting the kit repaired ..etc
