So Romney has been garnering more and more high-level and influential Republican and Conservative endorsements from people like Budget Committee Chairman, Rep. Paul Ryan - WI and Senator Marco Rubio - FL.

As a Conservative, my hopeful was Hermain, then Newt... but regardless... Do you think it's now time to throw support to Romney and accept what looks to be inevitable? In my opinion, Romney is like the Republican version of Senator John Kerry - MA. Say everything to please everyone kind of person.

What are your thoughts? Obviously, the GOP has enough ammunition going into November just on Pres. Obama's merits (or lack thereof) alone but what are some other things to take into consideration in trying to draw the contrast that you think our generation (20's - 30's) are really wanting out of the presidency and/or leaders of our country?

18-35 y/o conservatives are few and far between. This generation is LARGELY progressive and no republican candidate shows any signs of that. Unfortunately our generation is largely politically ignorant and doesn't vote. This generation wants change and while the system is setup the way it is, it won't happen for a while.

I'm not sure how many people out there haven't already made up their mind on Romney/Obama. There has been so much media exposure for both, most people probably already know how they feel. I hope I am being overly cynical but the ones that haven't decided yet will probably be swayed by what gas prices are on the way to vote.

I'm hoping that people really turn out to vote, young people at that. But I completely agree with blank_cd in that most folks in our generation are politically ignorant. They'll wake up one day and figure out that politics makes all too much sense. I know when I was 21 I didn't care but a decade later with a family to take care of, my political views have done a 180.

I'm wondering if the Republican primary will go to a brokered convention. That'd be interesting to see and how that plays out with big hitters like Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan 'saying' that they'd take no VP spot... but what if Presidential Nominee became a viable option... well, I can keep wishing.

I wouldn't just vote for someone because "it looks inevitable" that's wasting a vote. I used my vote for my hopeful, regardless of the outcome, not because some other people like him, but because I like him.

Gotta love how the best the GOP can do is some guy noone in the party is even happy with. How the fuck is he doing so well in the first place? I don't get it.....Obama has become an easy target and they still cant come up with any decent competition.

It's just that the people that don't like him are a lot louder than the ones that do. Also the media is going to focus on and amplify controversy. They can't fill their 24 hour news cycle with boring truths and explaining the practicality of choosing more centrist candidates. There is money to be made!

I have yet to meet anyone who is happy with him, they're just tolerant of him. He's lucky Santorum is so psychotic and gingrich has amassed that much dirt, or he would be going nowhere.

Well maybe you're right. I guess many are happy relative to how they feel about Santorum or Gingrich. It's hard to imagine a candidate that a majority of the GOP would be truly "happy" with. There seem to be too many competing contraditory interests.

The thing I will say for him is he actually is pretty moderate, which I definitely view as a plus. He's just so inconsistent and his intentions seem pretty obvious. Seems like the kind of guy that wants to be president just for the status of it.
