Picked the car up last August for a decent price. The car came with CTR wheels, D2 coilovers, and a five lug conversion. It has a little bit of body damage but that will be addressed at a later time when it becomes a priority. The owner told me it had an exhaust leak and when fixed it should be able to pass emissions. Weighing options, I opted not to fix that and instead save up for a motor swap. Looking at H22 options, I came across the H23A Blue Top and it was ordered. When we got the motor, there was a conflict between the head and the block so the head had to be sent off to the machine shop to be fixed. With the problem fixed, assembly of the motor started and collection of parts began.

Here is how the car sat when I got it. The body damage to the quarter panel is on the driver side.

It sat in my garage while parts were being collected until a month ago when I moved. During the time it sat in the garage, I got rid of the hideous CTR wheels ( which I hate btw ) and picked up a set of 16" Rota C-10s.

I wanted a different set of wheels and came across a set of 16" Super Advan SA3s and picked them up. Not liking white wheels, I opted to paint them :D

Before paint:

After paint:

Now that the wheels are painted and ready to go on, it was time to put those aside and start doing it's heart transplant. I am retaining the factory transmission for now. Here are a few pics of that progress:

And as a last minute thing, we added what was necessary to crank it up and here is the result:

Here is a pic of the new wheels that are coming soon:

you should clean up and respray the bay to make it look as good as the swap.

Hell no. This shell is getting trashed when I find a clean EG hatch shell which will be probably next year when I get my EVO.

...I was with you until you started talking civic jargon. CB7 have so much more potential to look bad ass! And you'll actually stand out at meets, lol. I don't think I've ever stopped and looked at a civic for more than 10 seconds.

Once I have an Evo in my possession, it will be time to move on to bigger and better projects. The EG hatch will be an H23A-powered track car.

It's coming together....slowly but it's getting there. Really hoping to be done before IA but it doesn't appear that will happen.

Yeah, man. The CB7 will make an appearance at IA. Haven't decided if it will appear at the pre-meet or not. May take the bike to Mainstream for the pre-meet.

Finally got my other Advans. Went and picked them up today. These were on my friend's SC300 so they are staggered and the tires are different sizes which will change soon. Went to bolt them on today and ride out and in the process of taking off one of my wheels I stripped a stud off.....FML. Now I have to wait until next payday to get new studs and lugs since my current lugs won't work with these wheels. But for now, here is a pic:
