Those have to be the cheapest tires ever mounted to a pair of CCWs.

Doesn't look like a 2002. Looks more like a 80's body style.

I was going to say something about how harsh you were being to him, then I realized what he was saying. I thought he couldn't tell the difference between a 2002 and an e30.

It's my bosses. I've put many many late nights in it, but he has literally days worth of solely fabrication. No plans for a front end, however it may have some support bars welded on to keep it from wobbling.

wow... what a waste of a 2002... would have been better as a stocker with the engine swap...

The 2002 was rough in the beginning. And the original plan was to swap in the LS1 into the stock bodied 2002, but the engine bay is pretty slim. Plus, as I said, it was pretty rough.

I'm with you.

Hah. I love the judging. These aren't CCW's big guy. They are Kodiaks. Built way long ago for one of our customers cars and never used. The wheel situation is also temporary, it'll have something matching and mean for the final product.

I wanna know what the drive train holds for this monster?

Stock-ish LS1 we threw together. It has a cam we title the "#6". It's sporting a truck manifold, so that's why some people are saying it's the LQ. We ran the truck manifold because it's the tallest and dirtiest thing we had laying around.

lulz.

For those who are interested, the car is being built at APF. It's the shop I work at. It's been a project for over a year now. Literally only 800 bucks in it, including everything you see. All of the frame was hand made by laying sharpie down on the ground. When the car was built, the BMW was a running and driving car. John's owned this car since high school. And we can't wait to piss off the purists.

Thank you for all of the support and comments folks! We'll probably have it ready to rock in about a week.

Sorry, I really dont know what a 2002 is. I thought he was refering to the year. As far as the car in my sig, it is what it is. Not my ideal car but its what I drive.

It's all good man, it happens. I looked back at some of my posts from a few years ago and laughed at some of the dumb stuff I said.

2002 is actually the model of the bmw. Just like Celica is a model of toyota. made from 64-7X, if I'm not mistaken.

APF does immaculate work without a doubt! Though they do mostly american cars, they also do great work on imports! Anything from the basics to full builds!

Pretty much an LS1. 5.7 with a cam and some heads we had laying around. That with truck coil packs and intake, and I believe a CTS-v oilpan. So, 5.7 in displacement. A little bit of a frankenstien. It's all spare parts.

When I think rat rod, I think American. But car is clean

Most people do. I love this car because it isn't what typically comes to mind when people think "rat rod" but can be considered one under the definition:

"A rat rod is a style of hot rod or custom car that, in most cases, imitates (or exaggerates) the early hot rods of the 40s, 50s & early 60s.
Most rat rods appear "unfinished" (whether they actually are or not), with just the bare essentials to be driven.
The rat rod is the visualization of the idea of function over form. Rat rods are meant to be driven, not shown off. Sometimes the customization will include using spare parts, or parts from another car altogether."
