Got a parking ticket like 9 months ago from GA tech parking while i was working there for contract work over the summer. Forgot to pay it and now they sent me a letter saying they are trying to collect it. What can they really do if i dont pay it? Back story before people start . I was working for the school as a contractor. I parked in the lot assigned for contractors that they assigned at the time they still put the ticket on my truck:thinking:. Went to the parking department that day and i was told that i needed to buy a parking permit for $600 :idb: told them to fuck off at that point finished working and never returned.

It should be just a $25 or $35 fine. Just pay and not worry about if you don't. Later, QD.

if it was $25-$35 i wouldnt have a problem paying it, but theyve tacked on their instutions fees and late fees for a unpaid ticket and it has risen quite a bit. I dont really want to throw them the couple of hundred they are asking for now. Im just dumbfounded that they would assign contractors a lot then ticket them. then when they ask why they were ticketed its because they didnt have a parking pass for the lot that they assigned then tell them to fork out $600 for a parking permit. The people that work at their parking department are completely incompetant and unhelpful all they really care about is their nails and hair. Ive tried to resolve the issue since i have recently gotten their notice with no avail or help in solving the matter.

is it Georgia tech parking and city authority? on the ticket it just says Georgia Tech parking enforcement. Its basically rent a cops in little golf carts writing tickets. I dont think they have anything to do with the city.
