Make: Pontiac
Model: Firebird
Year: 1973
PRICED TO SELL - 14,000
This car has a 77' Trans Am Posi-Trac 323 rear end and super T10 4 speed manual transmission. The t-top roof came from a doner silver anniversary car. I still have the original roof to prove no accident damage. Brake system uses 1LE rotors from late 80's police interceptor IROC Z cars. rear disk components from 93-94 firebird/camaro, a hydro boost braking system uses power steering instead of vacuum for brake assist. Global west upper a arms with del-a-lum bushings and the original lower control arms with a grease able del-a-lum bushings to help correct the suspension geometry for a better road feel. Aluminum body mount bushings and custom weld in sub frame connectors, along with other chassis modifications to reinforce the body and create a "just right" ride quality. The interior came out of a 1999 Trans Am including the rear shoulder harnesses. Custom door panels and rear package tray add to custom interior. A hand fabricated turned stainless steel dash bezel was created to mimic the original turned aluminum look of the TA's but with updated vents and gauges. Relay powered head lights with H4 bulbs provide excellent light quality at night. Custom piping was built to carry fresh air from the grill area to the carb pan. A 6al ignition box provides fire for the engine. The engine is a fresh 69 model 428cu. Pontiac motor with #16 heads(ported and polished). The carb is a cliff Ruggles built quadrojet. A full length x-pipe exhaust keeps this car quiet. A mild cam keeps it easy to drive. Several original parts will go with the car when sold. I have engine, heads, starter, intake, carb. front seats, all a/c parts less one hose, a great firebird hood and shaker that could be used to create a TA clone. I have a spare set of t-tops that can come with the car if the price is right on the package. Several other good 2nd gen parts. I am clearing house. No the A/C and heat don't work. The fan does.
