I am in the market for a bright ass melt your skin flashlight. I have about 4-5 bulb/led bulb ones around but they just dont cut it.
Id love one like the cops use seeing how they can blind your ass lol...
I don't know much about this subject besides LED flashlights with LUMENS is the way to go.
Anyone know and info or details on flashlights and what to buy ?

Maglite - http://www.maglite.com/

Maglite is the serious professional flashlight. There are plenty of excellent flashlights in other brands, but Maglite is generally used more professional situations.

It's gonna be a pretty shitty flashlight if it doesn't have lumens. :ninja:

I'm with David on this one, get a Maglite. They're great flashlights, and if you get one of the big ones you can beat the hell out of someone with it if necessary lol.

I can't believe no one mentioned Surefire. They're the go to brand as far as flashlights go. I carry an E2D LED Defender daily and love it.

Fenix makes nice ones too. I bought one for work, that takes a single AA. It lasts forever, never changed a bulb and Ive had it for 3 years.

What is better to have the hand sized Flashlights or the huge ass Magnalite looking tourchs that require like 5 D batteries.

aaronfelipe

Of the T series, I own the, T1, T3, and the T4.

The T4 is the largest of the T series and it's really not that big sizing in at 8 by 1.4 inches long.

If this is something that you're not going to carry with you often I say go for a T4 for practicality (because it's rechargeable) or a T5 for the highest lumen output, a higher resistance to water, or if you don't plan on going through batteries often.

For highest portability, I would go for a T1. The difference between the T1 and the T3 is evident but in my opinion, not justified by the size difference.

The biggest down side to these flashlights is that they use a 123 battery which can be expensive depending on where you buy them. Your best bet is to buy them in bulk.

If you're looking for some 123a batteries check out batteryjunction.com, they we're going for $1 each last week.

I have an INOVA X03 and I love it.....other than the expensive batteries lol. It's small enough to fit in my center console in the car (Miata = small console) yet bright enough to see anything when the light is low.

But I'd like to have this...just for shock n' awe factor....

You don't have to lie, we all know that's what you were really hoping for in the first place. It's ok, Palmela doesn't get jealous lol.

Apparently, Palmela does get jealous. Otherwise, he wouldn't be looking for Fleshlights on IA.

Thank you for getting this thread back on topic! F*kin ninja thread jackers want this thread in the RLD...

Just because it burns hot doesn't mean it's THAT bright. LED technology burns cool and puts out some serious lumens.

I use my streamlight daily and love it. Best investment I've ever made with flashlights. Now, I know this doesn't count as a flashlight.. but my blue-point led magnet light is brighter than anything I've ever seen. lol. As long its kept charged.

Frys has a pretty dank selection of higher end flashlights. I would definitely hit them up unless you don't mind dealing with online buying.
