Raceland Coilovers?

A vw buddy of mine has recently introduced me to Raceland coilovers and I was wondering if anyone has used them.
Research on HT, vw, and scion forums has given mixed reviews of "you get what you paid for" and others who actually use them say they love them...
For $369 shipped and a 2 year warranty, who can really complain?

Thoughts?

Those that say they love them apparently have nothing to compared them to. The forums you mentioned are interested in nothing but hard parking. If you actually want to drive the car then spend the extra coin on something good.

I personally have had skunk2's, FF's, Groundcontrol's...etc etc. I just didn't want to be the guinea pig haha.
Who knows, they may stack up??

Don't waste your time and money. GC's is good stuff that is also customizable based on what you plan on doing with the vehicle.

I have run everything from progress and tein to raceland, and while there is a difference, it really all friends on what you are going for. The tein rode and handled well, but typically don't lower a while lot. The racelands were a bit harsh when bottomed out, but they went the lowest by far. I, personally, like a stiff ride so as to know where the bad spots in the road are etc...

Personal preference in the end.

If it's just a daily driver they will work perfectly fine.

I've personally had Racelands on a miata and it went low and rode NICE. loved em on the miata. my buddy has em on his mk6 golf and he's low and he says it rides "fine." on the other hand, my buddy has a RSX on racelands, the front doesn't go low at all, rear will lay frame and they ride like SHIT.

They're not bad for the price, but if I was you I'd spend the few extra hundred and buy some "Real" coilovers. D2's are the best bang for the buck.

I got mine two years ago...it was like 345 back then shipped. Needless to say, im still rocking them, and have 0 complaints. A tad bouncy, mine are bottomed out though. People will definitely bash you for them, but 345-375 shipped for two years and 34xxx miles on them without problems? WORTH IT.



PS mine is daily driven. Go for it.

I'm not planning on slamming my del sol by any means, it's not my style. But as long as it's not ebay, I don't mind getting bashed as long as it rides well...
Does anyone have pics of them on anything? lol

If you don't plan on slamming it then why not choose a good spring/strut combination.

The most positive feed back i always get when it comes to coilovers always been, TIEN, D2, PROGRESSIVE, STANCE, SKUNK2! My friends try different coilovers and tell me D2 is the way to go, so what im saying is find out for yourself, and get what you feel is in your comfort!! I have a 93 civic 4dr lx and im getting d2's cause I feel that my friends are rite by what i found out about them for me!!

I've had almost every spring/strut combo lol, but if these are cheaper and work, that is A-O-K with me!
