As for numbers i dont know what kind of hp it puts down, havent had a chance to take it down to the dyno. I took it to ISD in spring on the current turbo setup but on a stock t5 trans and DRs, it went 12.2@126 w/ a 2.3 60' and a slipping clutch. On the glide and slicks (not included) i have no doubts this is a mid to high 10 second car.

So lets understand this right, no clue what it makes, no clue the A/F ratio, untuned... Clutch was slipping that's why it's slow shit box, and you doubt it will run 10's!!

I occasionally run people for free, just for sport. But I certainly won't skip a business dinner, taking the dog to the vet, or yardwork to meet some random hooligan to race for a measly $100.

New ZR1's with bolt-ons and slicks are doing 160's. My car has traction issues until 100. My AWD car can certainly run the 1/2 faster, but hits rev limiter in 5th at 152.

that's what makes these events fun. A legit 11 second car can get killed or kick ass, it depends on the gearing, powerband, and traction. Ger it for top end, you bog out of the hole. Gear it for the holeshot, you peak out before the end. It's pretty tricky to calculate. TT C5Z06s are in the 170-180 range. Over 160, aerodynamics comes into play as well. It takes a lot of power to push a car quickly from 140-170. Get a light car (I am at 2914 with cage) and you must let off throttle very carefully at 170.

I'd try it some time just for fun. It pulls pretty hard from 100-180. I won't go over 180 without the wing though, it gets very squirrelly. (1000lb springs + light car) I have run a few 600's from a 60-80 roll with unknown rider skills and done pretty well. I ran a literbike from an 80 roll and did OK, but not as well obviously.

Texas mile really has "lax" safety runes. IE: my buddy ran a 1000+WHP and was hitting 220 with just seatbelts and jeans. Wilmington is a sanctioned ECTA event and has some rules. I think 170 is where a cage is required. I have wadded up a few cars on tracks at speed and prefer to be on the safe side. For LSR events, I run a chute. Car has a 6 point 4130 cage from TCKlein. Its a bolt in, but NASA/SCCA?FIA certified, so I am happy with it. I have a halon system going in when I get time, car has already been on fire once, its not fun.

I am running 275's on all 4 corners. The problem is the 15" brakes and 6 piston calipers. There are 2 wheels that will clear them (SSR and Enkei) in 18". Anything in 18" has stifff sidewalls. I am also running solid motor/trans mounts, a 3 lb flywheel, and a 6 puck clutch. Traction is always an issue below 80 in this car.

I'll mess around on the streeets here and there, but rarely. Money is not really a motivator for me, benchmarking is. Regardless, its really tough to find a spot to do 70-190 battles without risks if traffic, cops, animals, and debris. As I am sure you know, clobbering a ladder at 170 usually isnt fun. If you ever bored and around, I'll take a stab for fun. It's only a little 6 banger.... ;)

Not trying to bust your balls but if you stroked the 6.2 ls3 to 429 the power adder options are very limited due to piston and stroke.... Im guessing your at a 4.1 bore on stock deck height but then you said you have spry so a good nitrous piston your suppose to stay away from the 4.1 stroke.... as you increase stroke your piston gets smaller or your rod gets smaller both of which are not good on a nitrous motor.. which limits you to a 100-150 max :goodjob:

I dont think I'd like to use a flat top or dish piston/boost with this stroke, there isnt enough material there above the ringlands. Some nifty coatings on skirt/face help as well. The motor spins (and makes power) happily to 7400, and thats about all your can ask with that much piston speed.

It's a lightened K1 crank, little nicer then a callies compstar.
