does anyone know if progressive is good on the receiving end of it? i was hit by a lady with progressive, and was wondering if anyone has had good/bad experiences wit hthem. i know all insurance companies are gonna fight aftermarket parts and im gonna end up with only a few hundred dollars (if that) for a thousand or two in mods.

but mainly was wondering if they are quick, with the settlements. any info helps.

I jsut finished a settlement with Progressive on my Cougar. Total was 3800 in damage, and he wrote two checks, the first one within two days. Let me know if you speak with a guy named Daryl.

i hate progressive.

guy in a durango backed into me at walmart.

told me he didnt see me backed into me.
told walmort security he didnt see me backed into me. they wrote report.
told police he didnt see me backed into me. police report made.

told progressive *who he also had* i ran into him.

Progressive said my coworker was a friend. and thus didnt count as a witness. Ignored police report and walmart report. said they do not know what happened so no fault accident i didnt get my deductible back.. MOTHER FUKIN PROGRESSIVE.

ask justin he knows the deal.

I got everything I asked for and more. They paid for every aftermarket part damaged.

Heres what you need to do, call the main progressive hotline. Report it, theyll talk to you and they are very nice. Once you find out who your agent is, call them first thing the next work day. Be very polite and tell them youd like to get it taken care of ASAP and arrange a meeting for pictures. Its all gravy after that.

Yeah, what they will do is this more than likely which is what happened in my case.

About 4 weeks ago I went on a Mountain Run.

Around a corner a bike lost control, slid into the side of my car and caused a good bit of body damage to moldings.

Below are the pictures:

Before the accident:

After accident:

Upon calling and recieving who Im dealing with , I called the guy handling my claim. He came out the next day, and I had papers in hand of how much I paid for all the parts and what Ill need. I had all documentation. The body kit is molded as well. So he wrote the first 1700 to me to order parts, and get everything started. Once the body shop guy looked at it, we found out it was going to be another 2000 in labor and paint (custom mix of Lexus/Toyota paint code) to get it all back to the way it was. The claim adjuster called the body shop and worked everything out. All checks were non committal meaning it was a supplement, and any supplemental damages are to be paid for later down the road if they are found out.

Hope that helps.

George

You will need reciepts and documentation. If anything go online tonight, shop for all your parts over again, print those pages out, and present it to him. Im sorry about your car man. I wanted to see it in person sometime.
