Well I have missed my CRX so bad since I got rid of it. I came across a great opportunity to pick up this car. It's in minty fresh condition and I got it for the cool price of $500. I initially wasn't gonna do anything to the car but drive it, but of course I couldn't help it. I got on 3geez.com and got the fever. So here is the progress so far. Coilovers, and removed a bunch of useless emission and smog stuff off the engine. There will be a pic of all of that. I have alot of plans for this car so I will keep updated pics coming! Let me know what you think.
Here is a old pic of my CRX, some of you may remember it. I had a huge build thread up a long time ago! LOL

I would do two things. Put a conservative set of wheels on it and lower it, reducing wheel gap. I had an '88 DX that we bought brand new in 1988. Loved that car. Later, QD.

Yeah I have already gone as low as I care to go. A set of 15" wheels would be great. I have been beating myself up trying to figure out what wheels would look good on this car. I have no idea what to get. I have been considering polishing out my steelies or something.

Man that car is in awsome shape for a 87! I would just leave it alone! Why did you remove all the emmission stuff? Also what kinda mileage does this car get?

Saw your post on 3geez.com, Tdurr was suprised to see another 3rd gen accord in the area. Go obd1/boost, or H22 swap it. Either way, they're fun cars. I personally rode in Tdurr's turbo'd A20 accord and that thing moved pretty nice!

The accord is about as clean as an accord of that year can possibly be.
Id much rather have the CRX
absolutely love it man clean as can be. as for wheels enkei 92s would look nice but that's just my opinion and i agree with "drummerboy", obd1/turbo and man trans of course.
Again absolutely love the car man.

Polishing the steelies. Hmmmm. Might not be a bad idea. I never did put wheels on mine. As far as engine modification, I wouldn't consider it for this car. Especially turbo-ing it. I wouldn't even put an intake on it. Like silversol says, leave it stock. It looks good that way.

These cars still get around 30 mpg if taken care of. Great cars. Really wish I wouldn't have lost mine. Later, QD.

Thanks man! I took the emission stuff off because I love a clean engine bay. Everything I took off was unnecessary stuff under the hood. No kidding the car actually runs better now. And I am getting 30mpg's right now.
What are the plans?
I wanna change wheels really bad or do something to the steelies on it. Paint the valve cover and air box. And just clean it up real good and make it run and handle good. I really don't want to go over the top with this one.

Thanks man I appreciate it. I just checked out those wheels. Those would look awesome in silver. As much as I would like to make this car fast. I just wanna roll stock on the engine and just cruise and make it run great and be super clean. That's really it. I just gotta decide what color to go with on the valve cover and air box.

Yeah I like the black meshes you have but I just don't know. I am not crazy about black rims. I cleaned up my steelies today and I am still thinking about polishing them out to see if I like it. I just can't make my mind up. I have looked at tons of wheels and just don't see anything I like and can afford. I thought of doing some adapters and putting on some polished out 94 accord rims 15". But just don't know if I wanna use those adapters.

That CRX was beautiful and I drove the hell out of it to about 360k. I ended up selling it to a guy out of Warner Robbins before moving to San Antonio.

Well I have decided to go with a set of Enkei J-Speed's. (15x7) I have been doing some heavy shopping for wheels. I was gonna try to get a set of SSR 265's. But don't wanna sink that kinda money right now into wheels. So I am gonna go with these. Let me get some input. What do you guys think, and what kinda offset should I go with? Like +25 or is that too much? Thanks for any input!!! Also I got a sick exhaust that should be going on this weekend. I'll post pics.
