What is different now that people are able to hit 500 and some have seen 600 hp on stock sleeves. Because when I first started everyone shop I went to said to see those numbers you need to sleeve. So my question is if I am trying to reach 400- 450 hp dd is it better to sleeve or stay with stock sleeves.
Set up ls/vtec

Brain crower stage 2 cam

So what u guys think or I sould just sleeve it.

If you are going to spend that much money on parts, why not just go ahead and sleeve it? Once you hit your target goal, you'll want more.

Because really I wanted know if the stock will hold up. But it do make sense what u said, I guess I am going to start saving from now. And maybe by this summer I can get it sleeved as long as nothing comes up.

R & L Engines shows a package price of $1549 machined, blueprinted, and installed for Dart M.I.D. sleeves.

They have always been making that power on stock sleeves, they just wont last long, and all blocks are not created equal. I have seen some bust at 400 some bust over 600. GSR blocks are alittle more reinforced that ls etc. Personally I wouldnt run over 500 whp daily on stock sleeve.s
