You're on the right track. In 1982, Porsche did have a 1-2-3 finish but:
1st place was chassis #002
2nd place was chassis #003
3rd place was chassis #004

chassis #001 was used for practice.

The car in question was also present at the 1982 Le Mans but was not one of the above.

"Created at the factory this is one of 2 static show cars displayed at the Le-Mans 24 Hrs race in 1982.

Finished in the winning livery of Derek Bell/ Jacky Ickx Rothmans colours this fantastic show car is super rare and genuinely looks exactly like the genuine car.. today worth $2million dollars!

The attention this car created this year at Goodwood was incredible
The car is on 2 axles and can be moved around, there is a drivers seat and can be sat in, there is also a fixed steering wheel.

Although the car cannot be steered it is light enough to be manouvered by 2 people.

Both doors are operational and there is a small ammount of instruments fitted in to the dashboard etc.

The car is in generally excellent condition and creates an amazing ammount of attention.

There is no engine or gearbox and all the panels are glassfibre, with genuine period Gotti wheels and tires.

The car can be easily towed on a trailer and weighs around 350kgs"

First tub based aluminum monocoque for Porsche
First for ground effects
Won on its first outing
After winning again in Norrisring (1982) it was used as a test bed for all following 956/962 cars till 1985
Refurbished and given as a gift to Jackie Ickx in 1986
Chassis#001 is slightly heavier than the following chassis
Only chassis to use Bosch mechanical fuel injection

I was only going to post a couple facts but I couldn't help my self... neat stuff.

Again, the car in the op is just a mock up. Nothing more.

Thanks. Forgot about this place actually. But, heard some new names picked it up so figured i'd give it a look over.
