I know everyone has their personal opinion about things but I was wanting to see who is in favor of debaging their ride for the clean look or leaving them on to be original. Im Anthe process of painting my jdm db8 an was thinking about leaving the H on the trunk only. Would like some input on the subject.

I personally keep all badges intact or at least replace them with new ones after a fresh paint job. It's all in what you want.

Let the IA debate begin.

I recently debadged my rsx and left just the A. It looks 10000x cleaner now. That's my personal opinion on it though.

No badges

No badges or correct badges. Acura neither starts with nor has an H in it. Later, QD.

It started as a honda. You should know. In the door jamb it says honda the valve cover says honda. Should I keep going? So tell me what's not honda on it?

When you run VIN, what does the results say? How about the title?

And what do you mean by "you should know?" Later, QD.

Doesn't matter What the d.o.t says it is. Alot of vehicles were debaged an called something else to be sold in the u.s. just the way things work. It is what it is. Hate it or love it. Thanks for the ideas any gotta love the negative ones.

The DOT calls an Integra an Acura because that is what it is. Yes, it's made by Honda but it is not sold as a Honda.

Tell the DOT that. Lolol, you're not really that naive, are you? The title of the car says Acura on it. You have an Acura. If a VIN check comes back an Acura. You have an Acura. Unless you have all the makings of a Japanese spec Honda, then you have an Acura. Later, QD.

So you wouldn't agree on a honda Integra front end?

If it was on a Honda Integra in Japan....

Me personally, I like that front end better than the USDM front end but it's all opinion based.

Well that's why I was asking. I swapped front ends. So was going for the original look.

"Original look" is in the eye of the beholder. In the end, it's your car. Just don't get pissed or argumentative when someone voices their opinion.

If I had an Acura Integra and put a Wing's West front on it, I wouldn't call it a Wing's West Integra. Still an Acura. See more in the next part, sir...

I swapped front ends. So was going for the original look.

Nothing at all wrong with that. And even if there were, who cares? You know? It's your car. But if you're going for the Japanese look, to make it a "Honda" Integra, then go on ahead and put in the RHD and the other goodies.

In the end, even though I can't not, at all, understand why people badge their cars that way, who am I to say no? You dig? I'm just nit-picking with you, man. No harm meant.

Just don't get pissed or argumentative when someone voices their opinion.

Especially when you ask for it. Just take the opinions with a grain of salt, man. Later, QD.

changing the badges on your car is nothing new. It's been done since the 60s. If you like the way another trim level or badge looks, do it.

see that SS badge..... it doesnt belong on this chevelle.

Just sayin.....

I dont have a problem with factory correct badge swapping like the examples i gave. Sure that chevelle didnt come with the SS badges... but a chevelle did.

Same with these honda/acuras... the acura rsx obviously didnt come with a honda badge, but somewhere that platform did.

people who put nissan GTR badges on their toyota camry..... i want to kick those people in the nuts.

The difference with what you posted and what most Honda people do is the cars you posted are actual look-a-likes of the cars they badged them as. Acura people usually put on a set of wheels and lower their cars and slap a Honda emblem on there. Again, I realize you do what you want. It's all good in the end.

Even worse than the ones that put GTR emblems on Mustangs? Lolol. Later, QD.

I'm in favor of the Honda badging since you went with the JDM front. Just keep it simple. H in the front, H in the back. done. No DOHC, Type R, RSX bull shit.
