Not really sure where to post this, but here it goes.


Looking for a legitimate place with credible feedback on self defense. I did a search online, but I rather go with a place recommended by someone local. Just looking into basic/advanced training on self defense.

seriously???? i can name a dozen places off the top of my head. Georgia is absolutely loaded with places to learn self defense. do you not have a phone book?

Obviously you didn't read my post... I made it clear that I wanted to go to a place recommended by someone. In the other hand, your links were very helpful and I will look into a few of those places this week.

try brazilian jiu-jitsu i did it for a couple years. its a good work out and plenty of self defense. look up a Gracie Barra school or an Alliance school in your area.

LOL true that. You'll either be a fighter or a lover..... and not the 'suave' lover type but more like a "catcher".....LOL

As someone that has been shot before. the best self defense is a gun, it does not matter if your the best fighter in the world if the other guy has a gun and you dont!

I got that area covered... In the process of getting firearms permit.

From time to time I've though how awesome it would be to carry around a fake grenade.

"Give me all your money" ... "Sorry all I have is this nice grenade" ... Pull pin ... Dude runs for his life.

You don't fuck with a dude who carries around a grenade. But then again get caught by authorities with a grenade (fake or not) and they will be the ones doing the fucking.
