terrytowe22
12-04-2011, 06:40 PM
Yeah they slightly need to be adjusted in a little more
IMO but there ok for now also front camber kits not installed as of now
Also my lowering springs prevent me from doing alot of things
Thanks for the input
All suspension will be replaced with adjustable
As soon as it done getting painteD

Negative comments I stated the stance needs work
I'm on lowering springs with offset wheels of course it's gonna be shitty
I'm prob gonna relieve the offsets off the car and get some other wheels

what kinda paint and clear is going on it? I hope its quality materials. Take the extra time to do a better job tapeing the car up. I can see the primer over spray on the moldings. the prep work can make even a cheap paint job look good if done right!
terrytowe22
12-05-2011, 04:25 PM
Yeah I know and prob going with ppg paint
Any other paint that recommended please lmk
Also yeah it will be taped off for sure I see the part u talking about

Purchase my paint today I'm currently pass on the ppg
Only because I had store credit at another local paint place they carry nason
Products I read good reviews about an bs just really depends on the prep work
Hopefully going to get it to the shop sat morning or mid afternoon touch up on little spots with primer
Then wet sand 600 grit? Or 400 grit?unsure
Also its a base clear paint also new wheels on the coupe

my suggestion would be dont do a CF hood.. i decided to do one on my EJ8 before i got it painted and it was my biggest regret on the car.. they fade quick for one, and second, it looks so much cleaner (IMO) as one color.. but, do what you want, of course. just giving my advice from past experience. i am sure it will look good :goodjob:

Think we use 320..May be wrong though.

Thanks man yea I still debated about the hood just because of the price
And the outcome of fading like you said
I have 2 ek hoods I'm probably gonna sand one of them down in the morning
Prime it and fix the little dings and spray it also to see what it looks like for now
Also the car is not on offsets anymore I'm currently in the process of fully polishing
My gsr blades if they turn out good I will ride them because I like the look
Also have a set of xxr 501 +38 offset so I will post pics of both sets on the car after everything is done

Make sure to take your time with the prep work. If you want the best results wait and do it right. It would suck to have to repaint it over something that could have been easily avoided :goodjob:

12-09-2011, 10:58 PM
Oh yeah for sure gonna get a stright body only thing I'm concern about is the tape
Off not very good at it!
Dylan
12-10-2011, 06:29 AM
That part gets aggravating sometimes lol. Patience is key, just don't cut any corners because it will show.
terrytowe22
12-10-2011, 08:34 AM
No corners cutting here I've drove around for months with a 12 color car lol
So I'm taking my time for sure!
320 grit ? I don't think so
Talk to my Buddy that does a lot of painting he said wet sand at 400 grit
Then finish with 600 to mAke it smooth since I'm doing base clear
And not single stage

Looks pretty decent had a few little ruins with the clear
Gonna go back and wet sand and buff out
Let it sit for 3 or so days
Overall for a 200$ paint job can't complain
