Well Im debating on if i should get a new car or not, Gas mileage is not a issue within reason I only drive about 200 miles a week. Also due to a injury a stick shift is not a option! Part of me wants to just keep my civic till the wheels fall off as there is nothing wrong with it and invest in other things as I do have a weekend car a 67 restored mustang. But the new car bug bites from time to time. My two choices are the new 5.0 mustang or a 2005+ corvette right now Im leaning more toward a corvette as it seem more of a adult vehicle and i already have a mustang and have owned several in the past.

I would keep the Civic. It may not be one of the best cars to keep bad memories of but it's reliable and it's paid off.

Bullet holes add character, well I have fixed all of them besides the ones in the back bumper lol.

Vette of course since you already have a 67. The new 5.0's are sexy though.

2012 nissan maxima. 4 doors. nice interior and comfortable. Mustang is childish and corvettes are actually pretty cool cars. they just seem so big.

400 hp with a warranty ... Mustang ;)

I was looking at gwinnett place over the weekend. going to look at a 03 vette that looks well taken care of and looks to be priced well.

LOL @ Mustangs are childish.

Ive driven both and really liked both equally, but the Vette is really really cramped on space and the 03 will be slower than the 5.0. I love any car I can have over 400-500hp easily and have 3 other people ride with me comfortably. Give the 5.0 a romp, before you decide ;) My buddy just got rid of his 2006 Vette for a 4 door Genesis because he hated driving it everyday.

The little things that dont bother most people have me leaning toward the vett I like the hatch design the vett is lower to the ground and that the gas door is closer to the driver door. Im still recovering from a back injury and have to carry a wheel chair with me. Im just now starting to stand up so the fuel door being closer to the driver door helps with that. I fit nicely in the vett being 5'9-5'10. also the vett seats seem a bit softer When you have to sit alot it does make a diffrence!

Im not looking to mod either one of them I dont want to throw money into either one besides maintanece cost. so No I dont want to lower the mustang to lower it to make it easy on me to get in and out of, I like the feel of the inside of the vett it like it made for a guy thats my hight I dont like how the dash reminds me of a 98+ camaro in a way. I think the vett get a little better mileage if im not mistaken. But yes I think the mustang is a bit faster out of the box then the corvette. Im going to also look at insurace cost for both of them later aswell

Either purchase will be good man, but it does seem like the Vette will cater to what you need/want more!

Its hard as a die hard mustang fan to make that decision on a vett hahah.

If you don't mind me asking, what happened? You mentioned an accident, then bullet holes, then wheel chair. I'm curious now.

A girl I was dateing ex did not like me and insted of confronting me like a man he hit in the bushes with a 45 and shot at my car. I Took a 45 slug through my back A in and out injury that some how did not hit my spine but still gave me a spinal cord injury at t10 and a punctured right lung, But I did miss getting hit by the other 5 shots.

Yeah lot of cowards out there. Im still looking at cars on line and waiting for the right one. With the cold rainy weather the past few days I have not been really motivated to go out looking at cars.

I looked at getting one of these for a while. The only thing that stopped me was needing more room. Plus I drive 700+ miles a day so I stayed with a honda lol.

Vettes are a bitch to get out at times. Not sure how much your back would take of that.

I would def go with a new 5.0 stang over a c5 vette...although I'd pick a c6 over a 5.0. I saw a modded 5.0 drive by me the other day and it looked and sounded AMAZING. If I had 30K to spend on a car I would be going to the nearest ford dealership in the morning.
