Just curious, are you one of the "Oh you ruined the whole bike with removable $300 extentions!!!!" type of guy? lol

It's decent. Feels a good bit faster than my '02 GSXR 600 was, but at the same time, I think it will only run .3-.5 of a second faster, lol. Feels like a low trap 10.50

Here's a couple more, not sure why the point and shoot distorts the left side of the photo...

It has closer to OEM windscreen, straps and brackets, and megaphone in its near future!

I didn't like stretched bikes all that much myself until I got mine. There is a lot to be said to launch a bike hard and not do a wheelie.

Anywhere but a straight line stretching a bike is purely form and hinders function. Plus a true hard launch on extensions won't end well, ask my boss about the 14 before he went with a custom swinger.

The up side to my comment......my factory swingarm was professionally cut and extention sections were welded in and all powder-coated back to black. Looks factory except for it being noticeably stretched. I have tried doing wheelies but all I do is spin for a minute and then hook up and go.

For the moment. Mid-pipe needs to get made!

There's a huge horsepower and weight difference in my bike and a ZX14...

Kinda like saying a stock T56 in a 500whp full weight F-body sucks, so it'll have the same issues in a gutted stock ls1 S13.

No, it's like putting 8" wheel spacers on a stock C6 Corvette. The extra leverage, chain length, and the slight amount of movement allowed by the extensions in the swingarm adds ALOT more stress than most people realize. Couple that in with the fact that even the newer 600's make 100hp and you can have potential problems. If nothing else look at the extra length on the chain adjustment bolt... realize that bolt has as much stress on it as it does on a hard launch and you have another potential problem. There are several horror stories about people having issues with the bolt on extensions out there.

It's like trying to break a bolt loose with a 6" ratchet, as opposed to a 2' ratchet... or trying to bow a 10" piece of wood as opposed to a 3' one. You add length, you add leverage and stress on other points.

I'm sure there will be plenty of people here saying they have ran them for years with no issues, and so and so has done this or that with them... but there has also been as many go down due to them, break them, etc. The only true safe way is a swingarm designed to be that long.

^ i am personally not running blocks and wouldn't just for a peace of mind. But i respect other peoples taste on how they get it done on what ever bike they rock. Might not be the safest but hey there doing them and im doing me. I took mine to unkown and let them add on to my arm just so i could ride without worry. But $1150 beats $2500 for a totally new arm and it also beats $350 for ext and praying that the pics u posted don't happen.

I'd love to get a new swing arm, but it's just not in a budget. Also planning to step up to a liter bike at some point and it seems to be harder to get rid of a stretched 600 than a SWB.

I guess quality comes into play with extentions, if you upgrade to a grade 8 bolts and lock tight, you should never have trouble if installed and maintained correctly. I myself have pushed them with 250hp running 8's 1/4mi but I would not go over anymore that that. A true arm is a better way to go but some have to work with what's laying around

I've seen stock 600's break good quality ones. Just luck of the draw mostly I suppose.

My factory swing arm was cut and modified with extensions and then rewelded and powder-coated black. It's pretty solid.

I do have to say that I liked the stance of your old bike, but i like the fat tire look. I got a 300 on mine and I love it. ppl might hate me bc of it but ive had enough fun on the track that its not even fun to ride on the road anymore and thats why mine is stretched and widened.

Another stretched 600? Sorry, but EL OH EL. I guess when there are no real turns where you live, why not.

The color is dope and I like the matched wheels. if you need another headlight. I have my 09 that is mint for cheap. Great for splitting. (actually you should split the 08 headlight)

It really breaks down to what you really like. I love my stretched bike as it gets plenty of attention every where I go, but on the other side of the spectrum I love mountains. I am actually looking into getting a Triumph 675 Daytona at the moment.

In my personal opinion... I like 600s stretched. I don't think they look good without a stretch to them. Pretty sure he gets attention from people as he drives past them as he did with the previous bike...
