I wanted to know if any of you have had any problems with the cops for having Honda emblems on your teg. If so, what county or city?

I dont think he is asking because he doesnt know. He is asking if anyone has had trouble with police after they switched badges because the police may not know.

I had them on my integra and didnt have any problems at all. I live in cartersville and they dont really sat anything about things like that. I do work construction and travel a lot and still no problems at all.

It doesn't matter what badge it has. They run the tag and vin....not the car's description.

Yeah but say a cop runs my tag, Acura Integra shows up, He/she sees a Honda emblem and pulls me over. Im trying to avoid that.

No, 99% wont notice (I had an Odyssey badge on my EP for a year and literally no one ever noticed) and the other 1% won't care.

What does it matter? He can't do anything about it anyways. If he asks, just tell him it's a Honda in Japan and be done with it. No ticket can be given for it.

This shouldn't be a concern. an officer isn't going to care if your honda says honda, mercedes, or cantaloupe. hell, they sell stick on badges and lettering at autozone, think about it.

You trapping? Why be worried about it if your not doing anything wrong. Just driving a modded honda or acura will get you pulled over for something.

All I know is it doesn't look all that "cool" to misbadge a car. Later, QD.

i got a ticket one time that said "Honda Silvia" when i cop pulled me over with my S2k's vanity plate on my Nissan, luckily he didnt know what either an s2000 or a Silvia was.

To answer your question, you can put Ferrari emblems on your civic. Cops are suppose to identify your car by its tag/vin number, not its appearance.

I've only heard one case of someone having a problem with it. A friend of mine got pulled over and had honda badges on his integra and got a ticket for "concealing the identity of a vehicle". Baldwin County.

would have been an easy trip to court. The color, sticker, badges, marks, engine, body panels, tires, rims, or nothing else have anything to do with the "identity" of a car. An example of concealing the identity of a vehicle would be putting a different tag on it.

I did get pulled over 2 years ago on Christmas day for H badges. The cop said, "this is a Honda, but the tag and registration are for an Acura". He was VERY confused when I explained to him Honda and Acura are one in the same and the badges were an enthusiast thing. No ticket ensued.
