Sinus/Cold

So, I have had this on going sinus infection type thing...Sore throat, Stuffy/runny nose...yada yada. I didn't wanna go to the doc because it's just a pain in the ass, so my friend had some amoxicilin (sp?), about 15 or so and I took them until they were gone. It seemed after I stopped taking them, I was better. Well, here I am again a couple weeks later...with the same thing and I am pissed! I know it's the season, but I really don't wanna go to the doc! I don't understand why I keep getting this crap, and why the amoxicilin didn't work! Is there any remedies, or medicines that will prevent me from having to go to the doc?! What have you all tried?

i feel your pain. i have allergies and i feel like that a good 1/2 of the year. not asking for a pity party, but... ive found drinking a good amount of OJ/taking vitamin c pills. also if you eat some yogurt, which has some bacteria in it, which will boost your white blood cell count. doesnt always completely cure me, but that could be because of the allergies. but it does help take down some of the symptoms.

you may have a really bad infection and the amount of medicine you took wasn't enough. that happened to me back in july and i ended up being on amoxicilan for a month. but be careful when you are taking that stuff because it messes up your birth control (if you are on it).
