Does anyone have personal experience with any turbo re builders in Atlanta? I've always heard there's a diesel shop in Forest Park that does them.. anyone have experience using them? Any places on the North side of Atlanta?

Thanks in advance.

I usually rebuild my own turbos, but turbo diesel etc in forest park does everything

I know its impossible to say without knowing what damage it has, but any idea what they generally run for a rebuild? Its a mitsu td04-15g off d16 greddy kit.

expect to pay between $500-$600. they only do 100% complete rebuilds, and they do 30 day warranties if im not mistaken. they've done 4 turbos for me.....

btw its called turbo diesel and electric.....

Yea for cheap turbos it doesn't make sense to go to them. But my turbo was over $1000 new.

TD&E took care of me when my 2560 CHRA failed. I dealt with JD over there and I will go back there for anything I need.

thats because they cant really rebuild a ball bearing cartridge. for that much you can buy a billet turbo.

Z1 Motorsports is a Garrett authorised Rebuilder. They can get a new center section and rebuild it for you.

I've also heard of turbo diesel in forest park...they're well known for what they do...I haven't heard of any other turbo rebuilders in the area.... the others are out of state...like the others say expect to pay at least $500.. we were going to get a turbo rebuilt by them but ended up buying a turbo from precision instead. Good luck!

MITSU turbos are stupidly easy to rebuild... Just get some good craftsman snap ring pliers and you can be done in less than 1 hr.

I can get you a rebuild kit for that for like 50 bux shipped from this place in Ohio.

Just gotta take it apart, change out the bearings and o-rings from the kit/etc.

Take your turbine shaft and compressor wheel to Turbo diesel place and they'll balance it for ~50 bux... Take it home mark it really good before your take the compressor wheel off.... reassemble the turbo with the new stuff from the kit.... Line up the compressor wheel with the turbine when you're tightening it back on and its as good as new. I've done this with good results every time. Rarely do you get a case where it's still bad... Worst case, it still smokes, you can just get a new center housing and swap everything over to that and line it up (I think i got a spare if you need)
