Can someone help me correct this?

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to make the pinstripe NOT look so "jagged" or however it looks. I'm shooting with a Nikon POS and am not sure how to set it to not do that to the striping. Every pic I take pretty much does this with that. Thanks. Later, QD.

This. Walk us through how this picture got from your camera to the post. You are losing some serious file integrity somewhere.

Andy, this picture looks like this straight from the camera to the folder on my computer. I took the pic, uploaded it and BAM! there it is. I open it with WINDOWS PICTURE AND FAX VIEWER and that's it. Later, QD.

hmm...make sure that your camera is shooting at the highest resolution. I seriously doubt that this image size is the maximum your camera is producing. It also looks like you are using photobucket. I would definitely advise against that. Photobucket probably has the worst file integrity of all the image hosting sites. If I was you, I'd get a flickr account. They are free and you can store up to 200 images there. Upload whatever file your camera spits out to flickr. Do not try to resize it before then, or open it with windows picture and fax viewer. Flickr will automatically resize the image (correctly) to several different sizes, depending on your need.

This pic was taken at 1024x768. It goes as high as 12mp. I do use PB to host, but it's like that BEFORE PB hosting. And I have not resized or anything. What should I open pics with? The program that came with the camera, right? I will open a flikr account now, actually. Later, QD.

I think I figured it out! Thanks to your "shoot at higher resolution" advice. I looked at some pics i took a couple of weeks prior to this and found this info:

There you go. Your camera was resizing the pic when it compressed the jpeg. Always make sure and shoot at full res and let Flickr do the resizing.

I was actually manually setting it to a lower or higher res. just for the hell of it in the different pics. I wasn't realizing at the time what I was doing as far as quality.
