gsr head studs.. b16 head studs are too long and will leave space between the block.

B16 will not work, u have to use Gsr or arp ls/vtec headstuds.

Maybe i was thinking of the LS/Vtec headstuds. I thought they were B16. Guess not lol.

I speak from experience that if you do use B16 studs it will not work. At one time I didn't know either and had the same build, lasted 30 seconds...

Maybe there where other issues with your build, I have put more ls/vtecs together than I can remember...

http://www.modified.com/tech/0411scc_ls_vtech_engine/index.html

Here are the lengths of each

OEM B16A : 6.85"
ARP B16A : 7.125"

OEM B18C1 : 6.75"
ARP B18C1: 7.250"

so either way you go you should be fine...
