As always pay outs will be based on turnouts, but with more sponsors chomping at the bit to be apart of this more money is coming in. Some sponsors really stepped up and added cash to sponsor particular classes. The event is still hosted by Gadsm/Sedsm (same entity) & Fueled by NOS ENERGY DRINK!

This event is a blast guys and it is not just about DSM's. I hope the others will vouch for it. We do not profit from this event, but payout as much as possible to the racers. The goal is to have fun, bring the racing community together, and maybe make a little money if you win.

I should be there... Made a few changes to the engine, which should pay off nicely. Been on wastegate for a while, now the boost is going upppppp.

its usually over with around 6-7 if remember correctly, It usually runs pretty smoothly and gets done on time.

They will announce the test and tune sessions, as well announce the eliminations as they close the staging lanes for people whom are running in a class. Tnt will resume as the round ends. You will have plenty of tnt/grudge runs all day long.

yes, my car is 100% there! I ordered new shift cables, shifter base, & linkage. I installed it all tonight. Everything's ready to go. I'm heading down to the Hotel Friday night around 5-6pm. Mention Import Showdown and you get a discount at the"official hotel."

That was one of the midnight cars. I was talking to someone who said his trans locked up right before he crossed through the traps. Don't know how true that is, but i saw the car on the trailer afterwards. It looked pretty beat up.

Track prep was shit . The left lane was unreal and the right lane wasnt much better.
A supra also hit the wall and a few cars lost motors man what a ruff day .
Ran a 12.2 spinning bad then the traction just got worse from there

Even my slow car spun through 2nd. That almost never happens. They weren't too worried about stuff being on the track that's for sure.

I almost hit the wall on every pass in both lanes.

This is why i got so aggravated at the last isd its bull crap. We were running a brand new set of 23 inch slocks (not that the 22-9 had over 20 passes on them ). Its not my slicks its the damn track . If they cant prep any better then this then no need in having isd . Im sorry because this is the only even i make sure i make every year and i know we are not v8 cars running 7s but show us some respect man this is shit . I ran a personal best and still bitchin . When you can go to a eight mile track and run a tenth or two faster then at reynolds you get aggravated. If i had my eight mile times at reynolds that i have ev4ry were else the car would hit 11s no problem which is what im looking for .

Its not like im leaving the line at 7,000 or 8,000 rpms . Hell we leave at 6,000 then dropped it down to 5,000 . The only way im going to be able to get the most out the car is on a day with good track prep that i can leave the line at 7,000 cut a 1.6 sixty foot ime and put the car in the 11s .I figured isd would be the time being it is a big event day guess not . I never thought id win with disco there thats not the point . I just wanted to get the most out the car . Hell i picked up 3 mph in the quarter and still ran the same as the car always does because of no traction .

Disco ran a 12.5 two or three times trapping 117mph now tell me what his problem was (traction). Help us out man get us some good track prep this even has a great turn out
atleast prep the damn track. No need in me finishing my new build if i got this kind if track prep to look forward to .

Anyway nice meeting everybody glad a h2b won the all motor class (caesy car is running good id do something about the white doors though lmao). STretch sorry about the wreck man but it will be ok let me know if i can help in any way.

I am sympathec to your situation but the reality is not that the track prep was all that bad but that all of the street cars with STREET tires running down the track all day.. Street tires will kill a preped track so fast its not even funny.. They preped the track right before the semis mostly because I was bitching alot at the track staff to do so for safety reasons and the track was better till just after the semi finals then after teh semis the street car test in tune started back up and the track went back to shit.. thats just the reality of the event.. I wish we could limit the amount of street cars that are testing and tuning but its doubtfull thats going to happen.. IFO has it just as bad at MMP..

Thanks for the reply as long as somebody is aware of the situation and is atleast trying to get it as best they can thats all i can ask for .

Answer me this (not being a smart ass just really want to know ). Whats this difference in the right and left lane . Even though i was spinning bad in the right lane (disco did the same thing) i still managed a 1.74 sixty foot which i can live with . Go back to the right lane cant get better then a 2.0. If you noticed in qualifying we wouldint even line up beside each other to make it a race . We all went down the right lane just no traction at all in the left lane . As bad as it was on my car hell disco with his short wheel base looked to almost hit the wall every pass in the left lane .

I went from a 12.3 to a 12.2 in the right lane to a 13.6 and a 13.0 in the left lane . Disco ran a 11.9 in the right lane while couldnt do better then a 12.5 in the left lane . I know one side always seems to do a little better then the other but man its hard to race with having that big a difference already agaisnt you when you get the left lane.

I give mid night atl all the props in the world for winning and im not saying they wouldnt have won anyway . Im just saying disco or anybody that got the left lane didnt have a chance in hell period.

We are working on some changes for the 2012 season to make the event better. A big focus is going to be on track prep. We really try and push them to prep it as much as possible, but like Sam said, it only takes a handful of street tire cars to screw up a freshly prepped track. Not to mention the brisk weather is not the best for tires. Engines like it, but tires not so much.
