Ok so I almost got my swap ready to drop in. I can't decide to either keep my harmonic balancer stock with the dampers for less vibration on the crank or should I put the CTR N1 crank pulley on for quicker rev's and more hp. The problem with the CTR crank pulley, it's a solid pulley with out any dampers on it. It's an original Honda OE part, but I hear many different things about The N1 pulley.

Things like:
They can destroy your oil pump
They wear out your bearings over time
They are good if you balance them and use them on b16a-b swaps ect.

I have heard sone goods about the CTR N1 also:
More HP
Fast rev's
Much more lighter than stock
Ect

It's a OEM part, so why would Honda make a part that's harmful to your motor? Can any body give me some input thanks

This topic will probly go on forever. There will be TONS of mixed emotions on the CTR pulley. Just google it. You will find the same results

You could take the Stock one to machine shop, get them to shave/balance your stock one.

Car was raced every weekend for 3yrs, DD for 4.. Still have it, but car just sits now...

Look at it like this, is it stock? If so leave it be.. Spend money on the bigger return!
