A friend of mine and myself went up to Franklin, NC, and met up with some other friends the weekend before last. We rode back down to GA via the backroads, and took it easy, as I had not ridden on these roads before, and haven't been on a couple of them in 20 years, so there was no "speed racer" antics going on.

Took the GoPro with me, and taped a few sections. Route was NC28 from Franklin to Highlands, then from Highlands to Warwoman, Warwoman to Clayton, out 2 from Clayton to GA197, then down to Lake Burton, then out to Lake Rabun, back to Lake Burton, and GA 197 home.
When it is just 2 bikes, that's my R1 and a 05 GSXR750.
When it's 4 bikes, first bike is a KTM 990 Super Duke, second is the GSXR, third is a mint RC51, and I took the rear to put them on tape. I cut out a lot of the really stright road sections, and cut out where we got stuck behind cars.
Tested a couple of other camers on the trip, but the footage didn't turn out to be good enough.
Really good trip if you just want to cruise along, and take it easy.

Awesome vids man. I wish my bike had a stock swingarm so I could hit some mountains before it gets too cold.

You still can. We weren't going very fast, just crept along all day, but it was actually still fun because we stayed on roads that we don't normally ride. Since you didn't know what would be around the bend, you still could enjoy not going at normal pace (usually wide open).

Just go up anyway, and take another rider with you. Take it slow, and have fun.

Let me know when you go back up and I will see what my schedule looks like. Surprisingly, the bike handles great considering it is slammed and stretched. It just doesn't like high speed lane changes.....almost found that out the hard way.

Don't wait for anyone, just go up, and ask a group to ride along. I tend to be peculiar about who I ride with, and take different routes, so I'm not always the best to go with (unless you are one of my regular riding group).

Can't be a regular if the time isn't made. :goodjob: I don't ride stupid. I know what it feels like to lay a bike down.
