Starting my F22b1 project. Will take while, but will be worth it in the end. I need some one who knows how to read there charts to give me some input. I have basics down, but need some expert input. HP goal is 350 to 400 WHP on stock 85mm bore, Eagle H rods, manley 9:1 pistons, and stock head. I have 3 turbos in mind....so here they are with maps, please comment on each one it you could (pros and cons)

1. T3 .60 trim
2. T04B (one im looking at is .60 on cold, .81 on hot side)
3. GT3582 (.70 on cold, .63 on hot)

fuking IA, it wont load any of the maps. alright, well.... i guess just give me 2 cents on these 3

Once you do the calculation for airflow needed to achieve your hp goal, you can choose a turbo easily with the compressor maps, Based on there surge/choke lines and the efficency islands

alright, let me ask you this. all the maps show are showing my projected band below surge line, but the GT, and T04b sit to the left of the apex of the islands, the T3 goes almost dead through the middle of them...what does this mean?

If the Air flow you need is calculated right and it goes through the center of the map, its in its highest efficiency range, which would be a good choice as you would have a good spool, and meet your power goals, with a good power band. Also if the other turbos are in the map, their efficency is just less than the T3. The T04b is probably the worst turbo ( for your setup) on the map, since it has a pretty large turbine housing, and a decent size compressor wheel.

Here is a good read, with the formula that I use when trying to calculate turbos for customers
