Question about size of power wire for amp

Hey guys. I used to have a 12" Kicker L7 subwoofer along with a fairy large amp in my car, 350x2 I believe. I removed both the subwoofer and the amp and left the component speakers with a 100x4 amp.

My question is, I left the 1 gauge power wire running to the 100x4 amp. I know this is overkill, but will it drain the battery over time, and should I use a smaller power wire?

No. The cable will be fine as is.
