370z or C6 Corvette

So I'm about to buy a newer car and it has come down between the 370z or the C6 Corvette. My only issues with the Vette is the blah interior but the Z is much more common around me and less power.

As far as the Z, it comes down to a Touring with sport package or the Nismo.
C6 either the coupe or drop top works as long as its manual.

Taking input from you guys as to which you would pick and why, intelligent responses only please haha.

I am in the market for a newer, 2 seater, rear wheel drive, something.... lol

The only plus to the 370Z is a nicer interior, everything else the Vette does better while spitting smoke in the Zs face.

The early c5 isnt bad either, now when you get to c4 the styling inside and out is hideous...i dont know what else you could ask for interior wise than a vette offers...hell like you said leather, dual climate, nav option...do these people think the interior of a civic or a cracked 240 is better??? The steering wheel in the Corvette is.... well out of an Impala lol. I have gotten used to my IS's interior which is just a lot nicer looking than the vette and closer to the 370z, but then again its a Luxury sport sedan or whatever class it is lol so it is a complete different demographic target than the C6. I more than likely will go with the Vette. I have driven both, i would like to revisit them both also and try them out again now that its getting closer to buying one. And I live near KSU so you may have seen me around, look for the dent in the rear bumper hahaha

I'm a die-hard Mustang guy. Had 8 in 4 years, LOVE them. A C6 Vette... yeah, I'd let it in my garage for a year or two.

Yeah, id say other than the vette having 100 more hp yet still getting the same MPG, having a faster 0-60, 1/4 mile time and top speed that the Z is WAYYYYYYYYY superior.... you know, if youre not looking for power or speed in a sports car.

Do you plan to mod the car? Either way, bang for the buck in the performance category goes to the Vette hands down. Anyone that thinks a 370Z can out perform a C6 Vette mod for mod has no idea what they are talking about.

If it were me, I'd go with the vette.

Just drive the shit out of both and get what suites your needs best.

The corvette is a great car and chevy did a fantastic job with it. There are nicer, faster, and considerably more reliable cars than a Chevrolet.

I hate Chevys from pure experience and family experience every chevy ive owned was a POS and seem to always need repair. My Father and Brothers tried Chevy and either they Blew,slung a rod or had the infamous chevy lifter/Valve rattle. Chevy has one decent motor that's the LS everything else is pure junk. They should pull a Dodge deal with the HEMI and throw the LS in everything they sell. Ford has the best V6 the 4.0 and a few good V8s 5.4 and 5.0 while even chevy fans admit the Ford Diesel is the work horse of trucks.

The 370z makes 350hp and it is $10000 cheaper for the loaded nismo version. The 370 looks better, better built, and better interior.

it depends on how good the person was that put the car together. i have built two of them and if you take your time and do everything right the first time then i guess it will be just as reliable as any other car. the ls motor is not going to get hurt unless just beat on it day in and day out , but even then im not so shure you could hurt it. soon mine will have the ac hooked back up so it will have all of the luxerys of a stock car such as power steering, cruise control, and a full stereo ysytem. what more could you ask for?

Theres a reason the LSX motor swap is so common in such odd cars. (RX7's, 240's etc.) They are such a solid platform. 436HP stock in a sportscar is excellent already. Slap that into a car so physically attractive and track ready and you're 10 steps ahead of that 370Z.

Z06 would be cool, but hell.... plain C6 is still a sweet car.
