I'll keep it short. Got the car in summer 08 and after wanting to sell it at various stages I decided to keep it and finish it how I wanted it. Thats where I am at now. Sorry for poor quality. Thanks for looking.

First bought:

New wheels:

New paint and new bumpers: The painter was a mistake and I knew I would eventually want to repaint.

New paint and bumpers again (I got rear ended). Got the car painted in time for Import Alliance (thanks Dave Wilson).

I like everything but the stickers on the glove box. Oh, and the lack of an intercooler, but I say that about everything.

Well considering he followed the paint scheme of the "initial D" 86, so i'm assuming he's going for that look :goodjob: (tho i think it would look better w/o them too)

Yea thats what I was going for even though mine's a coupe and not a hatchback. I dont think they look retarded lmao. But i understand how some people dont like them, and when i get tired of the look i can take it off.

I love how PR's try to separate themselves so much from any other group.

Body kit looks like a snow plow without skirts. I dont like stickers or 2 tone paint jobs either.

2nd picture down, body lines flow, color looks good, wheels fit the car good, factory markings look way better than chinese stickers. Coupe body looks sleek and not like a snow plow. Skirts that flowed with the body lines would be a massive improvement.

Yes my good man I am familiar with initial D. To each his own but I would never ruin an ae86 in such good condition like that.

see? i told you you wouldnt understand, i wasnt trying to start a debate. just cause its a territory it means we cant have a cultural identity and pride? how does that make sense?

you're right about it missing the side skirts, they are in shop. i disagree about the 2nd picture though, the paint and body was not straight at all in person back then.

if you mean the stickers they are removable, not really ruined.

It's not that I don't understand cultural identity and pride, I have immediate family from Guatemala, so I understand Hispanic pride/culture. But why is it that PR's try to be so exclusive? that's like if I had a Georgia flag on my car and you commenting on it and me saying "you wouldn't understand". Just seems dumb. No debate needed, just trying to find logic in what you said.

Not nearly the same (and i'm from GA). GA is as culturally rich as every other state in the US, sure it has it's own little quirks that make it significant in it's own right, but it's been apart of the US, for as long it's been the US.

Puerto rico on the other hand has not had that luxury and in every right is culturally independent and as with any culture (i.e car culture and loud exhaust), people mark their heritage for everyone to see, buuuuut that's just my .02 % of a U.S dollar's equivalence in gold :goodjob:

EDIT: @OP once again gotta say, "gahd, i love this car" would be better with boost tho :goodjob:
