I wouldnt say the ls1 is weak, only when in its in an overweight turd (gto, f body, ws6 etc) they roll out pretty well for a stock engine in the c5 vettes. Then he has 28" slicks with 4.56 rear gear means that you will either have to run some huge wheels and tires on the street, or will have to cruise at 60mph on the interstate - not fun to drive daily if you get on the interstate.

He has QTP headers, and Stealth/BMR suspension - get ready to spend some money.

507hp 433Tq = 10.3 sec for him in the 1/4, and he had to switch over to a faceplated T-56 tranny. You will run 12's with that setup. You could have done the same with the GTO.

Well, it's a 2.3 stroker with a broken crank (balancing issues I assume. Note: not crank walk). I have a 2.0 6 bolt short block in really good conditin to throw in. I'm debating on transferring over the eagle rods and buying some wiseco pistons, but I'll probably leave it how it is with the 2g pistons. Good for 350awhp all day. The turbo set up is probably coming off in favor of something a little more tame, but otherwise it has a completely built head, sheet metal intake manifold, DSMlink, 3" TBE, etc. It'll probably end up with an internally gated 20g, though.

yeah, its a very usable car. Quiet, doesnt run hot, 31MPG highway, drives like a stock car under 3K. I have had 3 92's, all AWD. One was a track car. The cams seem to make a huge difference up top, which was always where 16G's made me sad. This thing will blow the tires off in 2nd @20PSI on pump. It is more of a top end car than my other DSM's were. It has a built tranny, but I am not sure if the gearing is stock. It was done by PO. I am happy with it, its a commuter car at this house.
