there are so many different reviews out there, its hard to say. some of the die hard valentine guys will not budge from that and its the same way for the escort guys. its almost down to personal preference.

This is a review between the 9500i and Valentine (http://www.radartest.com/article_2.asp?articleid=100578)

9500ix is just the GPS-enabled version of the 9500i

This is a great review of the 9500ix (http://www.radartest.com/Escort-9500ix-review.asp)

The Valentine V1 is a very comparable unit, and as Tommy said some people choose sides. The 9500ix is regarded as the better out of the box choice; with no set up or customization the 9500ix is considered to have the advantage over the V1. It is argued that once set up to your needs the V1 is a slightly better detector. In the end, you can't make a bad choice.

I've seen this unit personally, I vouch for its condition. Tommy bought it brand new and also Escort's blue displays MSRP for more than any red display models. Good buy for whoever is lucky enough to pick this up.

I mush prefer passport over v1, even back when the passport 8500's were popular. How long ago did you get this if you dont mind me asking? Seriously considering getting this from ya. Have been looking on ebay at them for few months now.

Bought it about a year ago from a local best buy.
