it depends on what u want them for speed just a driver what plus i am big on dodge and its well ok maybe its not cheaper but i promise u i rather the dodge and plus everyone always says its a neon so imagine when they get embaressed by it ooooh priceless

Problem with the Skuby motors, is.... If they're not cooled down correctly, you can cause major damage. One of my friend's '02, he had 16k on his when the car was totalled, the motor was extracted, you could see all sorts of heat related problems with it, from not cooling down.

FYI to who ever does not know. I subaru has a oil/water cooled turbo. A turbo timer is pointless because you dont have to let the turbo cool down. Im working on my second modded suby and have never had a single problem.

With that said I wouldent buy a wrx with that many miles on it, keep looking around and you will find a better deal.

both are bone stock. the SRT-4 hasnt been titled so its still "new" and its 132 miles not 132k. i have driven the SRT-4 and i wasnt as impressed as i thought i would be. im going back to look at it and see about a price on it. i want a daily drive but satill be able to have some fun. i would like to have the subie but the miles are killing it. plus the dodge has a 7 year warrenty and the subie has only a 3 month warrenty so........... i believe i would rather have the subie cause the AWD and i have always wanted one but im still looking at the miles.

If it was me i'd get the srt-4 if the car is just a daily driver. I'm not very impressed with the plane jane wrx though the STI is a different story but a lot more $$. A friend of mine has an 04 srt-4 and the thing is quick for stock and the LSD helps traction quite a bit.

You should've hated this topic enough to not add to it because your two cents weren't really worth two cents in here. You're correct that Dodge doesn't have roots in rally. But how many people take their daily drivers through the woods rallying and off-roading? My guess is probably very, very few. WRX pros: AWD, hugh aftermarket support, love the sound of a boxer motor, lesser payment, import
WRX cons: weak trans............. no warranty

SRT4 pros: factory supported mods, warranty, if you race someone and win they got beat by a neon, 30MPG!! (IDK the WRX's), well built motor
cons: its still a neon, FWD, domestic, higher payment

these are what my pros and cons are

One thing you didn't mention. Bang for the buck...SRT. Maybe lower payments(I don't know), but you'll pay a lot longer being that it cost damn near $8k more. Not to mention that the "it's still a neon" comment really holds not much considering the fact the Neon(1st Gen 95-99) out-performed everyone's favorite(Civic) in most specs. It was, afterall, made to compete in raod racing events. Later, QD.
