After 4 years of owning this car, I finally got a tag on it last week. I bought the car without a title. So... I had to track down the previous owner in TN, and get the title sent to me. Then, because it was a rebuilt title, I had to get it inspected in GA. Once I did that, I had to send off to get a title. Then it was just insuring it, buying a battery, passing emissions, and getting the tag. :)

Money invested so far:
Car itself $250
Plugs/wires/oil change/repair manual etc $300
Labor to fix what all was really wrong with it $400 (Clean out tank, replace filler hose, and parts listed below.)
Computer - $175
Parts including fuel pump, coil pack?, filler hose, misc things here and there $300
Battery $120
Emissions $20
Tag and taxes for remainder of the year, and next year $32.36
Rear brake pads $10
Rear rotors 21 each.

I was honestly thinking I was going to sell this car, but now that I've driven it on dry ground... My mind has been changed.

Nice VR-4.
I personally think it's worth the extra effort. It's a little bit different than just your average "JDM" Integra

:) Sticker came with the car. Austin?, can you not see those? I made the album public... If not, I can post some from photobucket.

Ganji: vr-4 = Only 2000 made, AWD, AWSteering, and 4g63 turbo engine. Predecessor to the Evo. Mitsubishi's rally car for the year. Leather interior, decently quick, already has turbo and intercooler.

I think the car is awesome. What are your future plans for it?

Oh, yeah. It's not an old man with a cane. It's a walking stick. It's a hiking sticker. Which is cool, cause the Appalachian trail is close.

Plans are drive it for now. When the time comes, FMIC and upgraded turbo. Exhaust will be sooner than later though. Just working out all the bugs at the moment. Lubing up lube spots, replacing rubber pieces here and there... The usual restoration of a car that's been sitting.

hey how many miles were on the ODO when you got it? I wonder if it used to be mine. I had a 91 VR-4 back in HS and I can't remember if it was no. 1665 or 1669. Needless to say i wish i never sold that car..

I agree completely. I'd honestly take this car over any Honda or Acura. Later, QD.

x2.

Couldn't you have just gotten the title bonded though? My car didn't have a title but I just got a new one for $120. Only took like 2 weeks from inspection to having the tag and insurance.

They made 2000 in 91 and 1000 in 92. This is 1663 of 2000 it came from TN. The previous owner's brother is a Chiro or something down in Roswell, GA. It had 110k on it when I bought it. Has a little over 111k now. I could have worked on the title much earlier, but didn't know where to start, or have the time. After driving it, I've kicked myself a few times wondering why I didn't get it going sooner.

Why Galant VR-4 > most. If only I'd have thought to take a pic pulling the Jeep Wrangler out of the ditch.

Not a fan of old cars unless its a classic, but to each his own. I would drive this before a civic in the same year.

always love the Galant VR-4 since I seen Nathan Pharr slapped down a bunch of civic's @ Englishtown back in the days

I'd say the vr4 is on the bubble for being a Japanese classic.

The one that was sold on here a while back that had the Super Advans on it is the reason why I love these cars.

Awesome car, man. Awesome. :goodjob:
