i think he realizes a n/a honda on the street is a really bad idea. torque is what moves you, honda's = no torque.sure you can build the shit out of one and run a 12 but i can throw a 50 shot on a bone stock hatch swap and run 12's and still drive the thing to cali.he built this motor for n/a power,maybe he should have got an old nova and slaped in a 454 r something ,don't get me wrong i love the honda's,i have several myself and a 240sx.i wouldn't get rid of mine for nothing,but its just not practical to try to keep up with everyone on the street if your not turbo,or nitrous or both.i wish him the best and thats the honest truth,i hope lil'miky finds himself and comes back one day but for now seeya dickhead....

I'm not trying to act hard, and anyone who knows me will tell you I'm as laid back and chill as they come. It just pisses me off because I know what Mike has done for me. I'm not a kid swinging on his nuts. I came on IA as a complete noob last August after I bought my car and wanted to modify it. Mike was the first one to respond to my questions and walked me through the pros and cons and helped me really narrow down what I wanted to do. I paypal'd Mike $800 before I had ever met him to order my RM M22's and valvetrain kit. I am a pretty good judge of character and I am not loose with my money as I don't have unlimited funds, work everyday, and have quite a large amount of bills. Now, what pisses me off is that someone who has a bad experience like, not being able to buy a transmission, talks so much shit about someone and makes such personal attacks. I remember exactly the transmission you were trying to buy for the girl that time. It sucks that you didn't get it. I know that you were trying to. Anytime Mike has something for sale that I want, I paypal him the money b/c it's too far for me to go to Mainstream on a whim. I've never had any problem getting what I need. If you or anyone else were to ask Mike for some advice on a part right now, he'd probably tell you his opinion and why he has that opinion. Mike is fully aware that he doesn't have all the answers, but when you can call up David Hsu at Skunk2 or call Robert Martin (Rocket) or Don Flores and ask them a question if you're unsure then you have pretty good contacts and some people that you can depend on what they're saying. I think it's a shame that Mike's getting out of it myself. He really has gone above and beyond the call of duty for me. That includes, I had a situation where a cam seal was defective after my build. It was just a bad part, a fluke. It started pouring oil out. Mike drove down to McDonough himself and picked the car up, took it to Mainstream, replaced the cam seal, replaced the valve cover gasket, and because oil had gotten on the timing belt and compromised the integrity of it, he replaced that too. You know how much it cost me? Exactly $0. Oh, I forgot he went ahead and changed the oil and filter while he was at it. That is above and beyond. We may only have a customer/business relationship, however, when someone does that type of stuff for you, I take it as a friend I can count on. Mike and I IM pretty regularly and have layed out a plan to hit 200whp all motor on my B16, it has been my goal all along. He talked to Rocket for me and set up a really sweet deal for me to get my head ported and a good valve job done by Rocket. I just really could go on and on about how much Mike has helped me out with my vehicle and really given me a much greater understanding about what I'm doing with my car. So, when I see some people talking shit, not just saying, you didn't sell me a tranny, but personal attacks about someone and their character that I know are truly good people it really gets my blood boiling. I probably shouldn't have insinuated that I wanted to fight Punkr6, hell I'm almost 24 years old, I haven't been in a fight since I was in the eighth grade. But, I'm a fiercely loyal person to the people I consider my friends and for my family and I will gladly step up to defend them whenever I feel it is neccesary. I'm sure there are plenty more people on here that will say that they are 100% happy with Mike as a seller, an advisor, and a person than there are that will say otherwise. I've said my piece and probably taken up more bandwidth than was neccesary but I felt like I needed to say it. If anyone wants to see the quality of work that Mike does or has any questions about what kind of a guy he is then let me know, pm me here, email me at [email protected], yahoo instant message me at euc08 and I'll be glad to let you know what my experience is. I'll also be glad to let anyone get in my car and take a little run with me to see what and why I went all motor. It was not a build for all out drag, it was meant to be a good all around car that is great in the mountains, has good midrange, and can still make a respectable pass down the 1320 if I want to. He was a bit harsh to Matt (Integ97, which I don't agree with) but I know how it is to have your phone ring constantly and all everyone wants to talk about is parts and shit. I have been where he is, and since there is NO WAY I would sell my CRX or my 510, I did the next best thing and just got out of that side of parts. I haven't locked this cause I thought Mike was doing a great job dispelling the myths and putting the naysayers in their place.

I of course don't know about every transaction Mike has done or anything like that, but I know Mike both on a friend level and on a business level. He's always gone out of his way on a business level to help me and to help many others that I know, including the above story from 99si. Can you name another shop or dealership that has that level of customer service? I can't.

But Mike's my friend too so I guess it's different for me. At least he's realized there a lot more important things to do in life that to prove some of you losers wrong.

And just remember, people don't forget the things you say, in life and on the internet, so if you look Mike up to help you sometime in the future, just hope he's more forgiving than a lot of us are.
