when the engine was first put together the car ran but had some bugs to work out, it wouldnt past 4k, and the speedo wasnt working. i let it sit for 1-2 weeks then when i started it again it had a rough loupy idle, but didnt stall if i gassed it, i switched my dizzy cap, button and gasket, i have new plugs, wires and battery, and now when ever i step on the gas it stalls, if i step on it a little it'll bog, wont go straight to hell, but if i step on it (casually, as if to get moving) it dies..im stumped, any ideas?

i already checked the spark plug gap and they are at oem spec, the fuel pump is working and the fuel pressure is 40psi

tps and IACV plugs hooked up wrong ?

i don't think so, i just checked the plugs, the one that was in the IACV cant reach the TPS so i don't think they're mixed up

yes you can I see this everyday , and since you did a swap you might have the harness routed wrong so it can't reach , but they can both be mixed up if the harness is in there correct...

i did research on the plug wire colors right after you said that, there in the right place... i did some more research, tried a couple more things and its doing alot better

these are the plugs that can be misleading! theres the little vacume solenoid that goes to the evap canister that has a round 2 wire plug and the iacv plug on the back of the intake and the air temp sensor will interchange as well as the map sensor and tps sensor! your iac valve is not working right and will definately cause a rough idle and bogging through the gears trust me just change the map and iacv plugs and reset ecu by disconnecting the battery for a few secs and humor us!

i switched the two plugs.....it worked!:D:D:D but i cant get the IACV plug to reach now..might as well cut it and extend it? also, just took it around the block and its VERY sluggish, whats is that because of the IACV?
