Though i would just share with you guys.

everyone else is doing it....so why not me too.

got the clutch today ordered monday got it tuesday. since i live an hour and half from competition clutch lol



turbo came in last week.
its a precision t3 turbo, oil cooled only. 60/63 trim. a little bigger than what i wanted. but im really going for the ahh factor anyway.


i have the 5 bolt flange and have a very good welder friend and will make my own down pipe since i live 10 min from summit racing. ill buy all the pipes for 25 bucks....easy part

top mount manifold will be in thursday i believe since they shipped today and they are in florida and im in ga.

intercooler will be custom....trying to go different rout for less lag but lets see if my setup im thinking will be possible. i have a guy that can weld aluminum also

just waiting on good deal for a tial wastegate and injcetors....thats it. then it goes on

Went ahead and put clutch in as well. Very stiff and feels great.

cmd...on 16lbs map...time for new injectors for sure. im way above 100% duty cycle on this 16lbs map.
224hp 280tq to the wheel hp and tq.

i like the rfl thats why i decided to put this one. i chose this over my greddy rs.

Cb7tuner welded the dump pipe for me with the bungs. He did a excellent job!


Wraped it as well since it was so close to heater hoses.

Love a good turbo build. I would have went with a gt28rs though. Quicker spool, power range is money for a 2 liter car

Really? I love the Tsukuba red! Blue was my first choice but they don't come in rspec. And white would have been to hard to keep clean. Black is boring to me. Green was ugly.

keeping the braided intercooler line? Seems like hard pipe fitment is going to be close because of how close the turbo sits to the passenger side of the engine bay.

Hyudai has really been stepping up there game as of late. I'd honestly take a genesis over any coupe honda has produced in the past 5 years, but that's just me

guess i should update this thing.

so after a bad experience with cmd i took everything off sold them. i was gunna sell the car for the new v6 (glad i didnt) for more enjoyable dd without having to mess with turb stuff. i decided not to sell my car anymore. i started drifting my buddys car and fell back into the money pit drift thing. so having to start all over i figure i would go backwards this time. instead of power, i went got some ISC coilovers instead. car is much easier to drift now. just needs a little more power. so gotta redo everything. so clutch first then turbo crap. keep a eye out for me at events next year. i will be there!

now i got this. twin scroll evo 8/9 kit. running small evo 8 right now. but about to go to evo 9 for a little more power. its on 20lbs right now.

most recent thing is aem wideband. ill get pic later but the mounting location and plate that holds it looks like shit. going with a actuall pod holder that sits on top. but that fucker is expensive. heres the wide band. didnt have to install bung because hole was already there from the elite when they did the kit.



but soon to come mods. are competion clutch and flywheel.....again. stage 4 6 puck. and just some wheel spacers for now. then some drift spares and im ready to go!

yeah hopefully ill have high 300 or low 400 with evo 9 turbo. right now at 20lbs im suppose to be 330 whp. but im not building it to be race fast. im building it to drift with ease. so straight lines are out for me. unless its on the accel for intiation. yes i work in that area so it prob was me.

Cool. What is the limitation of the bottom end? I'm ignorant when it comes to these cars but did Hyundai build them with the mindset that their consumers would be modifying them?

I've seen 450 Hp. But tq was 350. These motors can't take a lot of tq too low.

Here is the 2 step on my car with btrcc ecu. This video was done before i changed to colder plugs. It's just rich. That's the smoke. It's not oil. It no longer does this once I changed plugs and properly gapped them.

Made intercooler kit. I saved 300 bucks by making my own. But was a pain the ass. I would not advise doing this
first pic is me about to take that factory flabge off and put it on the new pipe.

Doing some fitting and stuff. You can see crappy flex hoses.

Got it almost finished here

put bumper back on. Need to get better pics later

got a few things.

fuel pressure regulator.


also got the fuel pressure regulator delete and another fitting to fit on the factory fuel line


getting a few things ready


started making fuel in line.






got the fuel in line on and good to go. now for the fuel return. just waiting on one more peice.

put the fuel return line in today. its much more rich and this will alllow me to ge way more flow out of these injectors.

started with pulling the fuel pump


next i took the top off.

then seperated the bottom half to get to the stock FPR

pulled that apart and put this peice in that deletes the FPR. its basically hollow and allows constant flow of fuel through


picture of orange tube before getting cut off as its no longer needed and one side will be pluged. this the oem fuel return line.


this part goes ontop of the fuel pump after im done drilling. i used a step drill and made it big enough for the side with the thread to go through.

here it is installed. yes i cleaned it up lol.

from the bottom. yes a clamp goes on as well

fuel pump fully assembled again.

back in the car

stock plug pulled out and aftermarket fit in for the end of the fuel rail.

fitting put on and line connected

all done and set up.

Keep up the good job. I've been trolling your thread for a while; what sealant did you use after drilling? I'm asking because I have a dbl. pumper and double checking(no pun intended) the unit that no leaks come through.

that part isnt submerged in fuel so its okay. i will prob put some type of sealant on it this weekend tho. just to be safe but it should not be a issue.

masked the rs turbo off. it will be silver letters once done.





cleaned it all up because it was dirty


got it all scuffed up

heres the finished product. it came out pretty well. im sure later on it will get scratched up and chipped but then ill just use real paint next time. i dont like to use spray paint like other members seem to enjoy so much on here.

not all spray paints are created equal. For small jobs, you cant tell the difference with some. The clear below looked the same on my bike after 6k miles of abuse, weather, gas spills. It's the only spray clear ive found that can stand up to gas spill. The stuff at retail stores does suck though.

so took out my diff and swapped it with a v6 fella for longer gears. the v6 guy now has shorter gears. yes it very very noticable lol. want longer gears for big turbo setup and more rpms to drift with.

2.0T diff out

3.8 diff in


used some redline to fill it up.

then i picked up new bov.

dude. ive never had a BOV to release this fast. its response is amazing! i highly suggest it. best bov ive owned. and ive had them all. Greddy type s and rs,HKS,Turbo XS RFL and Synapse is by far the best and has a nice deep sound to it when it blows off.

450+ but tq numbers need to stay around 350 and come in at a high rom like 4k. With that setup the motor will stay happy. Any lower instant tq or higher that's where it becomes dangerous

and this Monday morning I shipped my ecu to turboxs to have them flash my ecu with the gt30 tune. also picking up the required 750DW injectors that they use with tune. those also came from TXS. they should have it shipped off today. going to overnight it so should be here by 10:30 am Friday morning.

while my car was down I had my buddy sand blast the housing for me since it was very dirty. Special thanks to cb7tuner

so my story begins with my aeromotive style FPR. it wasn't bad just I needed to go lower than 40 psi of fuel. the aeromotive style I had, had a set base pressure of 40-75. so I couldn't go any lower. so I bought a AEM FPR because it started at 20 and could go as high as the fuel pump could flow.

now heres where the problem start. after installing the AEM I still could not get lower that 40lbs. needles to say I was pissed. so that's when I called William at PRW. I explained the whole situation. he instantly knew the solution. so I thought I would share It here.

this piece is the part you will need to modify. its the part where the FPR delete sits. its also how the gets syphoned from the other side of the fuel tank.

now if you look in the picture you can see the tiny hole that the fuel has to go through to go back into the tank. see how small that hole is? basically what happening is that fuel can not get through that hole fast enough. causing a back up fuel in that fuel return line. that fuel not getting through is making the FPR not to be adjustable lower. now it not only causes problems for fuel pressure but im almost willing to be that the FPR was not acting like a 1:1 fuel ratio. meaning. for every pound of boost im making, it gains a pound of fuel pressure. if that does not rise you will run lean.

now heres the issue. BBB drilled his hole too big. so now the gas wont syphon from the passenger side tank. he doesn't drive the car that often so its not a huge issue for him. but for me as its my daily its a must for me. so I measured the hole. and the FACTORY hole size is a 1/16 hole. I used my drill bits to figure this out. it was a nice up and down snug fit. so I went one drill bit size up. I used at 5/64 drill bit. which is slightly bigger. now that did 2 things for me. one allowed more fuel to flow out. second help me have a more accurate 1:1 ratio.

after I drilled the hole I was able to lower my FPR to 25lbs now. that may be a good sign since its suppose to lower to 20. because hopefully the hole is still small enough to syphon the gas from the other side of the tank. I will have to let you know in about a week if it did or not lol.

I now have it raised to 30psi. so by my calculations it should be close to 50psi of fuel at 20lbs of boost.

oh and I bought a big tial blue spring that I will run with a small red spring to run off wastegate of 20lbs of boost. im not gunna use a boost controller. just wastegate pressure.

450+ but tq numbers need to stay around 350 and come in at a high rom like 4k. With that setup the motor will stay happy. Any lower instant tq or higher that's where it becomes dangerous

nothing going on too much lately.

just got some fogs and front lip. I put it on to test fit and let it hang out in the sun to maybe mold a little to make it easier to put on. it will be painted here shortly by the one and only cb7tuner. he knows how to work his magic.. also the fogs are going yellow. guess im gunna start to work on the outside of the car a little for looks now. next will be some sideskirts and rear diffuser then some wheels.

OMG! my first ever aftermarket wheels ever! anybody that knows me knows this is mega ground breaking. im a stock wheel kind of guy. I always do the motor first then everything else. let me say that this killed me spending this much on wheels even tho its not even that much. rather cheap wheels actually lol. I just chose xxr526. 20x11 +11 in the rear. 20x9 +13 in the front. the lip in the rear is a wide as it gets. 5.25 I think.

Tire shop couldn't get them to bead. So I just took them home. After a hour of failed ether trick. We used a bike tire. This way took five mine and was super easy. The tire helped seal the gap and let air hold. As the tire began to stretch we then pulled the tube out of the way.
