I got everything hooked up and working with my db drive stuff. Only thing I cant get figured out is where to hook my remote wire. I have it ran to the fuse box, hooked into the rear ACC fuse(15A) (8th gen civic). The rear ACC is only on when the car is on, but my amp is staying on all the time. Worries me with the heat this time of year, I know the amp has heat sink to prevent overheating, but is it good enough? My car seats in the sun 14 hours a day while I am working, temp gauge usually reads 103-110 outside temp when I get in it in the evenings. Think the amp will be alright? It doesn't affect the battery, starts right up after sitting all night. BTW I tried the radio fuse (7.5A) and get nothing, doesn't work for some reason.

Does your car radio not have a remote wire ? If no then id wire the amp to the A/c fuse.

Does your car radio not have a remote wire ? If no then id wire the amp to the Horn fuse.

Not sure, have the factory navigation and didn't wanna pull the whole dash piece out. There was really no point considering the unit doesn't have AUX outputs. Used a SoundQuest LOC in the trunk and used the fuse box for the remote wire. The horn has power with the car off doesn't it?

Sorry I mean use the a/c fuse for the remote wire and yeah if it's stock then I doubt it has the remote wire.

Hey,

When I responded to your PM I didn't know it was a stock headunit. Behind your Navigation unit, the stock remote turn on wire is Light Blue for your factory amp. You can also catch the ignition wire behind the radio, it is Purple. Before you hook anything up, make sure you test to see if powers turns on/off with the ignition.

That done the trick, tapped the light blue wire, works perfect. Reps when I can.
